My father aged 64 is having fever and cough from last 4 days. He consulted a doctor for fever and cough. Doctor advised to take covid test and it turned out to be negative. Yesterday, we consulted doctor once again and advised to take further test. Today , we got test reports and crp level found to be 32 mg/litre.
And in X-ray test mild haziness in lower left zone in chest is found. What may be the reason?

CRP can be increased in any infection. It needs to be correlated with symptoms. Sometimes a CT scan may be needed if there's no improvement of symptoms to look for further details.
Next Steps
Consult a pulmonologist for further evaluation.
