Abdominal pain in jaundice
Hi, My mother has jaundice and it has been 14 days since then. However she has been complaining of abdominal discomfort at night. She feels vomitish but cannot vomit anything. Her appetite is low but she has regained her energy. She doesn't like the taste of many foods. Currently she is taking Ayurvedic medicine LEVIT. She feels better after taking Pantoprazole. What should be done? Is ultrasound needed? Should she continue taking Pantoprazole?

She has obstructive jaundice and definitely u need to get her ultrasound scan done ASAP to find the cause of obstruction...like stones in gall bladder and bile duct This will not settle down with ayurvedic or any other medicines If the stone is blocking her bile ducts, she might need to get it removed urgently through endoscopy! Please consult asap after getting her scan done .
