8th Week Pregnancy Scan
Hi, When my wife went in for a 8th week scan, we were told that the foetus is as small as a 5 week old. It should have been 30mm where as it is still 11mm. Doctor wasn't too happy with the growth. Asked us to come for a scan in another 10 days. Have given ecosprin75. I have been taking Dubagest already. Can I have some hopes for its growth in the next 10 days? What are the chances tht its a successful preg?

Hi, As this is your 1st Ultrasound  , you should repeat it after 10 days.sometimes you may conceive late. If any Bleeding happens in between then meet gynaecologist. Good luck.

Dear Practo user, It is difficult to comment about chances of a successful pregnancy in your case. Ideally, the first scan should have been done about 2 weeks back, if you were having normal menstrual periods previously. One cannot reach to a conclusion with one perceived abnormal scan. That's why repeat scan has been suggested. It is not mentioned about fetal pole and other findings. It is not clear why Ecosprin has been started.
