8 weeks pregnant no fetal pole
Hi. I'm currently 8 weeks based on LMP. In my scan we found a gestational sac & yolk sac (which was not there last time during 6 weeks scan) measuring 6 weeks 5 days now. GS has grown in one week but no fetal pole or FHR seen yet. According on LMP I am 1 week behind, but I'm exactly on date if I calculate based on ovulation. Is there any chance of baby developing & finding heart beat or is it a blighted ovum guaranteed? Ps. Pls don't answer consult, I'm just asking a question about possibility & possible outcome, pls help me with understanding that. Thank you :)

If you are unsure, u can wait one more week and repeat the scan. But if there is no fetal pole, it mostly blighted ovum. A blighted ovum occurs when a fertilized egg doesn't grow into an embryo, which can lead to miscarriage later.
