6 week sleep regression
My son is 6 weeks old and suddenly became more fussy, not sleeping properly. He is getting annoyed by small noises while sleeping and wakes up. And looks like he is getting over tired as well, wanting to sleep but not able to.

Hi. Infants undergo a super fast brain development during the first two years of their life, so they have periods when they are really cranky and irritated and don’t sleep much. It’s called the “cranky or fussy week”. And it usually occurs during the 6th week of life. Play music that soothes him or cuddle him often or sing gentle lullabies or take him for a car ride or gently rock him. Spend more time with him and keep him next to you until the fussy period ends. It can last from a day to a week. BUT if your child is highly irritable and does not console whatever you do and is crying for long periods, is refusing feeds, or appears sick then please take immediately to the hospital.
