6 months baby hiccups
My baby is 6 months old. Today he is having hiccups at every hour and stays for 10 mins and in between if breastfeeding is provided it stops. But I want to know what is the reason for such hiccups? Also he is playing maximum time on his tummy.

Hiccups are normal and usually don't hurt your baby. In younger babies, hiccups are usually a sign that they need to be seated upright during or after feeding, that feeding needs to be slower for them, or that they need more time before or after feeding to relax. When the stomach fills with air, it may push on the diaphragm, causing spasms. Taking a break from feeding to burp the baby may reduce the amount of air in their stomach. This can prevent hiccups.
Next Steps
If a baby is breast-fed, it is a good idea to burp the baby while switching between breasts.
