The result is correct but its interpretation will depend on the test being repeated after 7-10 days.
If you are married you can forget about it. If not , you will have to do repeat tests

How irregular are your cycles??
Detailed history required.
Also have to repeat the pregnancy test with serum beta hcg levels.
