3 month old,exposed to fireworks
Sir/madam This diwali I was standing out of my house with my 3 months old son, suddenly some children exploded the bomb of high sound  around 17 feet (5meter) away from me. My baby started crying, now i am worried that can it cause some hearing problems to my baby because I know infants experience greatest amount of sound pressure because of smaller ear canal volume.  Can  that sound output damage some hair cells of ears. I am very much worried about hair cell damage of baby. Kindly answer. Thanking u

It is unlikely that cracker burst has injured ear of your baby. If you want to be certain then ear needs to be examined by a specialist and then you may need to get audiological tests known as BERA and OAE to assess any hearing problems
