Patient had breast roval surgery 2 years back. 2 cysts in stomach found now. Doctor has advised biopsy. Can she go for pet-ct before biopsy? Attaching the USG reports. Please advise.

It is advicable to get a PET CT before the biopsy. It will help assessing the disease status at present. It will also help in identifying most accessible location from where biopsy can be taken.

Next Steps

Adviced to check renal function test and blood glucose level and go ahead with whole body FDG PET CT scan prior to biopsy.
