My son is 10 months old. He doesn't eat food properly so can I start adding sugar & salt in his food now onwards? Or it has to be only started after completion of 1 year. Please advice.

IN INDIAN SCENARIO ADDING SUGAR AND SALT BEFORE ONE YEAR IS NOT A BIG DEAL.IN WESTERN COUNRIES ALL EAT FOOD WITHOUT SUGAR AND SALT EVEN BIGGER CHILDREN AND ADULTS. BUT AS PER GUIDELINES OF GOOGLE BOTH ARE NOT ADVISABLE BEFORE ONE YEAR.DONT THINK THAT YOUR CHILD WOULD START EATING WITH ADDITIONOF SALT AND SUGAR.

At this age give just 2 milk feeds including one top milk feed using a spoon and katori and 4 solid meals a day including curds and bananas in the diet in addition to whatever you prepare at home.
Yes, absolutely mix sugar and salt, make the diet tasty, otherwise why would he eat it?!!!
Maintain strict hygiene in preparation and giving of feeds and solids, give water after every solid meal.
