1.5 month old baby hungry in 1.5 hours
1.5 month old baby usually feeds normally around 40mins on one breast but when gassy feeds for 15 minutes and leaves and takes break Is it normal for a 1.5 month old baby to be hungry in 1.5-2 hours also weight gain is good Exclusive on breastfeed How can I know if I have low milk supply or it is just because baby is gassy and doesn't feed Also he took a feed from 8:00-8:15 then left then again felt hungry at 9:00 fed from 9:00-9:30 (all this when gassy) and no meds given I gave him vitazyme after feed baby burped and everything but didn't sleep again felt hungry at 11:00 before feed gave colimex so is it just because baby is gassy that's why he is fussy or do I just have low milk supply?

Hello, I understand your concern Your baby’s fussiness is much more likely due to gas and normal feeding patterns, not low milk supply. Continue exclusive breastfeeding on demand. If the fussiness becomes severe, vomiting increases, or weight gain slows, do follow up for an exam. Gas makes babies: Struggle to latch well Leave the breast frequently Become fussy and cry Feel hungry again soon because the feed was incomplete Babies may want to feed repeatedly in the evenings or nights. This is normal and not a sign of low supply.
Next Steps
Burp the baby well after every feed (sometimes 10–15 min needed). Hold upright for 20 minutes after feeds. Give colic drops only if advised, but gas itself is common at this age. Try feeding in a calm, semi-upright position. Offer the breast on demand, even if it’s every 1–2 hours.
Health Tips
Red flags: Poor weight gain Less than 5–6 wet diapers daily Baby sleepy or weak at the breast Feeds always
