Hi, last year for 3 months (October 2020 to December 2020) on and off I had this slight blood thing in stools but there was a tear in anal lining which was stingy so i thought maybe it's anal fissures. Didn't go to a doctor as it resolved.
Now after few months, i have this upper mid abdominal pain with left abdominal pain since March 2021. It's a constant dull ache which sometimes radiates at back. It increases when i eat or drink. Also within the same time frame (March 2021 till present) i am also noticing a lot of yellow to brown mucus in stools.
Is it something serious? Because everyone seems to say, don't worry about it. I had USG, it was fine.

You have pain in upper abdomen and mucous in stool
Mucous in stool is normal till there is no blood
It looks irritable bowel syndrome but you have to rule out Inflammatory bowel disease
So you consult gastroenterologist and do CBC , ESR USG abdomen and sigmoidoscopy
