Lymph node swelling lasting only for few days is likely to be acute lymphadenitis. A course of antibiotics will usually is what is required. But sometimes that node may form an abscess which requires incision and drainage.
Even after successful treatment swelling may persist for few weeks and size will reduce gradually
Kindly consult nearby ENT specialist to confirm its a node and if yes and infected appropriate treatment will be started by the concerned specialist
