Important is by which method it was done was it cartridge test or HPCL that could make difference in the reference ranges according to American diabetic Association your reports are normal so you need not worry follow Healthy lifestyle maintain your weight, if one of the parent have diabetes the risk is there but you can certainly prevent it with your healthy lifestyle , diet and exercise. Ideally Hba1c to be repeated every 6-12 months

Dear Your lab results indicate: Random Blood Sugar (RBS): 100 mg/dL – This is within the normal range. HbA1c: 5.6% – This falls within the non-diabetic range based on most standard guidelines. Regarding your doubt about normal HbA1c ranges: Different labs may have slight variations in their reference ranges, but generally: Normal HbA1c: Below 5.7% Prediabetes: 5.7% - 6.4% Diabetes: 6.5% and above Since your HbA1c is 5.6%, it is considered normal and does not indicate diabetes. However, you are close to the upper limit, so maintaining a healthy lifestyle (balanced diet, regular exercise, and monitoring sugar levels) is advisable. Let me know if you need further clarification. Best regards, Dr Anupam Diabetologist
