I am Dr. T. N. Vijayasree, Radiation Oncologist with more than 20 years of experience in cancer care. I previously served as Professor and Head of the Department of Radiation Oncology at Madras Medical College and Rajiv Gandhi Government General Hospital, Chennai.My areas of expertise include the treatment of breast cancer, head and neck cancers, gynecological cancers, genitourinary cancers (including bladder and prostate cancers), colorectal cancers (including rectal and anal cancers), soft tissue sarcomas, and pediatric cancers. Having completed a Diploma in Child Health (DCH), I am also trained in the diagnosis and treatment of childhood cancers.I have extensive experience in modern radiation oncology techniques, including Image-Guided Radiation Therapy (IGRT), Interstitial Brachytherapy, Stereotactic Body Radiation Therapy (SBRT), and Stereotactic Radiosurgery (SRS). I further enhanced my expertise through advanced fellowship training in brachytherapy techniques in Hamburg, Germany.My approach to cancer care is centered on evidence-based treatment, clear communication, and compassionate, personalized care.
