Dr. Radhi Malar

We’ve been consulting Dr. Radhi Malar for about 1–1.5 years for my father’s eye care and our experience has been very reassuring throughout. She is friendly, patient and always took the time to clearly explain his condition and treatment options in a way we could easily understand.

My father recently underwent cataract surgery under her care and the procedure went smoothly.

A special thanks as well to Rama Ma’am for her kindness and support during visits and on the day of the surgery. She was very helpful.

We visited Sr Eye Surgeon Dr Radhi Malar Anand between June 17,2025-July 3 2025 for cataract examination for my father Ramesh Chandra Bhatt(~70 years) age. Dr and her assistant Rama examined the condition and recommended to go for cataract procedure as left eye had 80% cataract build up and right eye has 40%

The procedure went smoothly.My father felt at ease throughout the surgery. The surgical team was professional, and the doctor was reassuring and explained everything clearly

The doctor's assistant, Rama is incredibly helpful and supportive throughout the entire cataract surgery journey which involves check up deploying eye drops and post operative care.

I chose Dr Radhi Malar of Fortis Malar Hospital over 3 other eye hospitals since she provides end-to-end services herself right from eye checkup before surgery, explaining in details various aspects of cataract surgery, actual surgery, post-surgery follow up care, prescribing lenses for spectacles. In two of the hospitals visited by me, the surgeon was outsourced which meant I would be meeting him or her at the OT only. The pre & post surgery care are handled by another eye doctor. In the third hospital there was no clarity about the lens to be implanted as no proper explanation was given by the counselor who is not an eye specialist. So this is the USP of Dr Radhi who handles A-Z of her patients herself. I had both my eyes operated by her for cataract surgery by implantation of Monofocal lens. In this she advised that multifocal IOL besides being expensive didn't offer any significant advantage over Monofocal lens, besides causing halos etc. In my case she said before the surgery that I may require a slight power for distance vision but would definitely require glasses for reading. However, the precision with which she performed the surgeries has enabled me to see distance as well as do reading without spectacles. I use my progressive lens spectacles occasionally. But the spectacles lenses prescribed by her give me utmost clarity. With just one or two deft attempts she zeroed in on the appropriate lens for both my eyes unlike other optermetrists who try various combinations. Above all, I found Dr Radhi Malar to be one of the most patient friendly doctor that I have ever come across. She listens to you patiently and answers all your concerns with warmth, courtesy and respect. She has shown no signs of impatience so far. One can even contact her on What's App and she responds quickly. Despite being young she has good experience in cataract surgery. I had some minor post-surgery issues that she tackled competently. Eye surgery like other surgeries is a delicate operation. On the day of the surgery the surgeon must also be fit, in good health, have no worries or tensions for the surgery to be smooth and successful. Being young and having an amiable temperament with a pleasant disposition, a patient need not have any such worries about Dr Radhi. I hope she retains all her qualities & continues to provide end-to-end services herself for all time to come. I wish her the very best.

Very friendly doctor,she clearly explained treatment procedure and other precautions,doctor asst was also good and explained the treatment procedure and prescription very clearly without any hassle,the warm smile on the doctor face is enough to cure all our pain.

Dr. Radhi is gem of a doctor I can say. I was very tensed about my right eye as it was reddish for more than month. I consulted a doctor earlier but no use. Then i met Dr.Radhi, she spoke with me for 10mins just like a friend, explained the problem in my eye in detail and prescribed the medication. Just in a week my eye became normal. Later she checked me up twice for free of cost. I am very much satisfied with the treatment.⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
