Dr. Guru Balaji

Dr. Guru Balaji has recently joined The Capstone Clinic as a consultant urologist. With 21 years of experience, his areas of specialisation include performing open, endourological and laparoscopic procedures. Having his expertise as a urologist available at The Capstone Clinic is very beneficial to our patients and their families. We believe that strengthening our expertise in this speciality will enable us to treat serious diseases such as prostate cancer with our visiting oncologist or even with our team of gynaecologists to address medical issues related to the pelvic area. Dr Guru's presence in our clinic makes it easier to diagnose serious issues such as cysts, tumors, kidney problems and issues in the urinary tract.#DidYouKnowDr.Guru has released many publications such as 'A Case of Mandibular Cyst' and 'Insulinoma' in 2001 and 'Evaluation of Bone Mineral Densitometry in Patients with Thyrotoxicosis' in 2000. He has also written international papers on day case laparoscopic adrenalectomy, audit of laparoscopic nephrectomies and many others for US, UK, Netherlands, Singapore and Australia. He has also written national and regional papers on varicocelectomy, iatrogenic urological injuries, renal tumor and transplantation, tuberous sclerosis and many others. Dr Guru Balaji has also been the Deputy head for clinical governance for Urology at East Sussex and has lectured at Madras Medical Association and BITS Pilani. Dr Guru Balaji is a member of Royal College of Surgeons in Edinburgh, National Academy of Medical Sciences in India (MNAMS), The Tamil Nadu and Pondicherry society of Urology and South Zone Urological Society of India.
