He has been a speaker for Breast Cancer at several CME programmes including several cancer institutes. In addition to this, Dr Gouthaman has performed emergency surgeries for intestinal obstruction, hollow viscus perforation, appendicectomy, cystostomy, abdominal trauma, tracheostomy, intercostal chest tube drainage and exploratory laparotomy.Dr Gouthaman has released several publications related to diagnostic dilemma in co infection, duodeno-colo-cutaneous fistula secondary to tuberculosis, compartment syndrome, paediatric chondrosarcoma of the sinonasal region, deep soft tissue leiomyoma of the forearm mimicking a primary bone tumor of the ulna, double pathology, retroperitoneal endometriotic cyst, surgical management of follicular carcinoma of thyroid with spinal metastasis, rare case of endometrial adenocarcinoma with renal cell carcinoma, primary carcinoma of cervix and endometrium, primary carcinoma breast and primary malignant mixed mullerian tumor of the uterus.
