With 14 years of experience in the field of oncology, Dr. Gouthaman has performed various oncological procedures such as breast and gynaecologic oncology (open and laparoscopic), gastrointestinal oncology, Head & neck Oncology, Thoracic oncology, Urological oncology and musculoskeletal oncology. His expertise adds value to The Capstone Clinic, enabling us to holistically evaluate pretreatment approach, resolve complex medical issues and plan for post treatment procedures, including supportive care. With the support of experts in radiology, psychiatry, obstetrics and gynaecology, Dr. Gouthaman believes in providing the best quality of care.Dr. Gouthaman is also an Associate Professor of Surgical Oncology and Consultant Surgical Oncologist at Sri Ramachandra Medical University in Porur since 2013. He is also a visiting consultant and surgical oncologist at Apollo Speciality Cancer Hospitals in Teynampet since 2016 and at Cloudnine Hospitals since 2017. He has been a speaker for Breast Cancer at several CME programmes including several cancer institutes. In addition to this, Dr Gouthaman has performed emergency surgeries for intestinal obstruction, hollow viscus perforation, appendicectomy, cystostomy, abdominal trauma, tracheostomy, intercostal chest tube drainage and exploratory laparotomy.Dr Gouthaman has released several publications related to diagnostic dilemma in co infection, duodeno-colo-cutaneous fistula secondary to tuberculosis, compartment syndrome, paediatric chondrosarcoma of the sinonasal region, deep soft tissue leiomyoma of the forearm mimicking a primary bone tumor of the ulna, double pathology, retroperitoneal endometriotic cyst, surgical management of follicular carcinoma of thyroid with spinal metastasis, rare case of endometrial adenocarcinoma with renal cell carcinoma, primary carcinoma of cervix and endometrium, primary carcinoma breast and primary malignant mixed mullerian tumor of the uterus. He has also attended several cancer research conferences and papers across Chennai.
