I was diagnosed with an Aneurisms in the descending part of the artery arch on 6th Dec 2022 after a 2D Echo and subsequent CR-Scan. I met Dr. Shashidhar regarding possible treatment; he explained the problem in detail and suggested TEVAR (Thoracic Endo-vascular Aneurism Repair) procedure. I requested time till the first week of April 2023 as our daughter (who lives abroad) wanted to be by my side. He agreed with some hesitation considering the complex nature of the ailment. As planned I was admitted at Apollo, Sheshadripuram Hospital on 2nd April 2023 and was operated upon on 3rd April 2023. Dr. Shashidhar was very reassuring during the procedure, which went smoothly in about 50 minutes, and I was transferred to Cardiac Care Unit for observation. The same evening I was transferred to the twin-sharing room I had opted for. I was eventually discharged on 4th April evening. Overall, my experience with Dr. Shashidhar has been very good and I would unhesitatingly recommend his services to others.

My dad was not able to walk for many months, we didn't rectify the problem initially. His health was getting worse every day and finally admitted him to a local hospital. After we did MRI scan, those doctors advised that we take him to another as the nerves that carry blood to both legs were completely blocked.
One of my friend referred to visit Dr Shashidhar (vascular surgeon). We took the appointment the very next day.
Dr Shashidhar examined my dad's condition and suggested that a major bypass surgery needs to be performed. Though we were scared of what could be the consequences, but we really had to trust Dr Shashidhar as there are very few vascular surgeons here in Bangalore.
The operation was performed successfully and my dad is recovering now. Time will heal those stitches and its the time my dad quits smoking!

We consulted Dr Shashidhar for treatment of varicose vein for my dad for both the legs & non- healing ulcer from many years.
Doctor explained the reason for my Dads leg problem & treatment steps very clearly & in detail.
Doctor did Laser treatment for both the legs.
My dad is able to walk much better & also ulcer healed fast. He took very good care of my dad from the day we admitted till discharge & also during followup checkups.
Dr Shashidhar is very approachable & has patience to listen to our concerns.

I had been diagnosed as having varicose veins in both legs, which I had not got treated for a long time. Dr Shashidhar recommended laser ablation treatment with foam sclerotherapy. This technique is minimally invasive (no overnight stay at hospital required). About two and a half months ago I went for this surgery. The whole procedure went off very well (spinal anaesthesia meant that I was conscious the whole time) and Dr Shashidhar took very good care right from the beginning till discharge from hospital and also the follow-up visit. I was able to walk unaided a few hours after surgery and resume normal work and move about from the next day itself. Within a couple of weeks I was back to 100% normal state. Dr Shashidhar's manner inspired confidence in his abilities and I recommend him and this technique for treatment of varicose veins for those who can afford it (it costs slightly more as compared to open surgery).

I am so far happy about the experience I had regarding the doctor and his treatment. He did not rush to prescribe something and patiently explained us the root cause of the problem and also suggested minimal tests.
However, I would suggest patients not to rely on practo's appointment timing as Apollo Hospitals do not even consider that appointment. You better call them and take the appointment directly with them. Due to this reason, we were kind of harrased a little as we had to wait for 2 hours.
