Dr Nitu Tiwari , I am grateful to her eternally. She is my angel. She came into my life when I was at my rock bottom. Iam 34 years , it had been 18 months then when I saw her post a traumatic surgery for a rare abdominal defect which doctors across specilizations had no knowledge about. My surgery led to complications. I had lost 20 kgs over that period and eating was challenging and painful . I was also suffering from other challenging health issues , pain which was rooted from it and health challenges from my very young days which doctors misdiagnosed or invalidated. She heard me very patiently for a few sessions and offered to take a chance to help me. And my life changed after that. She is very empathetic. She hand held me with retraining my mind, she explained me the root cause of a lot of things, how, when , why etc. She patiently explained a lot of things to me and gave me enough time. She taught me how to eat , how to think and how to heal. She started me on a new journey which Iam on now . She showed me the path and I am glad I could take it forward. Iam healed, eat better , exercise. I am happy , at peace and conduct my life. I love the spiritual journey I am on , thanks to the right resources available to us. She fed me nurtured me loved me . I am and will always be grateful to her. She is a great psychologist and a lovely person. One needs to see a psychologist not only when one is suffering but also in todays stressful times to help put our lives into perspective. Our society should be more open to meeting therapists because its the need of this society. I bless her and thank her for being a part of my life.
Visited For Counselling for Depression & Anxiety

I have been consulting Dr. Nitu for the past nine months. Within the first session itself Dr. identified the root cause of the anxiety and depression. Dr. followed a very systematic method wherein initially she asked me to talk about all my life experiences, since childhood. Later, all the sessions involved counselling on how to deal with the anxiety.
Dr. Nitu always made it a point to bring to my attention the problem at hand. Even though this was very overwhelming at the time of the sessions, it was required to face the situation rather than suppress it or try to distract oneself from it. She would then give a step by step plan of action to face the problem as well.
After nine months of therapy, I can surely say that I have become very self aware and have begun to prioritize both my mental and physio health.
Dr. Nitu emphasized a lot on self care and doing activities for oneself. I follow all her instructions with utmost diligence and have begun to see many positive changes within me - - in terms of mindset, behavioural patterns, my response to a difficult situation.
I am learning to be assertive, set clear boundaries and communicate my needs without feeling guilty. This is a continuous process so I am hoping to get better with practice.
I have literally looked forward to meeting Dr. Nitu during these nine months. She is very attentive, a patient listener, a thorough professional, extremely trustworthy and friendly. She has a very comforting and soothing aura which makes the patient feel at ease within the first few sessions itself.
She is very passionate about her job and has helped me scheduling my appointments with her, a couple of times when all her slots were full.
The one thing she said to me firmly is that, "You are perfect the way you are. You are enough. You are good enough." - - - is something I will surely hold onto for the rest of my life. In a world which challenges your authenticity at every phase of your life and where everyone tries hard to fit us into their idea of perfect, societal norms and distorted beliefs - - Dr. Nitu's words came as a life saver.
If you are reading this and are going through a difficult, overwhelming phase in your life, all I would like to say is - - SEEK HELP, ASK FOR HELP. Because as Dr. Nitu says, "Your mind is a very Important and significant part of your body - - Respect it."

We went for Adolescent Psychology consultation with Nitu Tiwari at Manipal Hospital for our relative from USA who was diagnosed to be having Asperger syndrome and ADHD. Our 1st consultation was only to test the waters. However, we were so impressed with her 1st consultation itself, that the patient decided to stay back in India for 6 months to continue psychology consultations with her.
What impressed us was the fact, that she did not take a bookish approach. Instead, she tried multiple initiatives in stages such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Meditation, Breathing exercises, relaxation techniques, exercises to augment co-ordination and distress management. Most of her initiatives worked wonders on the patient.
We could notice visible improvements in the patient behaviour over initial 2 months and it gave us the encouragement to sustain the treatment.
While she has the knack of quickly understanding the patient issues, she also advised us on parenting adolescent patients with ADHD and Asperger's. A lot of insights that she shared with us from the perspective of patient, were eye-opener for us.
The patient also acknowledged that the line of treatment from Nitu Tiwari has been way better than what he received at United States thus far.
To summarise, she has the maturity, capability and is well equipped to handle psychological issues, more particularly in the domain of ADHD & Asperger's in adolescents. For all her contribution to the well-being of the patient, we will remain grateful to her forever.
