Dr. Avanthi Paplikar (PhD)

My son Arvind is 5 years old, and he was struggling to speak some words with letters P, B, F. He also had slight delay in speaking. Based on the feedback that I saw on Practo, we consulted with Dr. Avanthi.

From our first interaction, it has been a great experience working with her. She is very pleasant, courteous, and at the same time extremely professional. I have not seen a better therapist so far. BTW she is a Phd and a gold medalist in speech therapy.

The first benefit, we as parents received from consulting with her is the awareness of intricacies of speech. Speaking is a complex process that nature somehow helps us acquire unknowingly. When that does not happen naturally, and there is some disturbance in the way our children learn that, it is a mess. Dr. Avanthi helped us understand how to create habits pertaining to sounds and words so that we can train our son. For us, every interaction with her is a learning experience in terms of how we can train our son. While a therapist can provide expertise and some training, it is we parents who have to reinforce the conditioning in the child.

My son also admires Dr. Avanthi because of her pleasant nature *** ****** ***** ** ******* **** ********* Because of her guidance, we are taking utmost care in practicing the speech exercises with our son. Our son has started picking up things fast, and we are delighted with his progress. I would highly recommend Dr. Avanthi for speech therapy. You can't get a better therapist for your child. At least I have not seen a better one so far in Bangalore.

** ******* ** *** **** ****** *** ****** ******* ***** ** **** ******* **** ** **** **** All other doctors we met were giving appointments after two months from day we call for appointment. But getting appointments and time is also easy with her. She gave us appointment for Saturday though it was not working day for her only because we requested --as we could not meet her on weekdays since both of us are working. During our first visit only she made so comfortable and found the pronouncing issues in my son. She conducted assessment and brought to our knowledge that he has difficulty in pronouncing R and Th sound. We were lucky to get schedules to get this issues corrected immediately. Her smiling face and patience makes our son and us so comfortable/optimistic feeling.

We are so blessed that my sons issue got resolved within 2 weeks which he was suffering for last 7 years. We had tried many technique with the help of you tube training but could not rectify his issue at home for past 4 years. But it was magical once she trained him he learnt within 2 weeks and 4 classes. End of each class she explains how he is doing how we have to train at home. Thank you doctor for all the help. She is also working on social skill development for my son now.

I would like to recommend all to this doctor for all speech related issues your kid will **** improve with her help.

I was so relaxed after having a fruitful discussion with Dr . Avanthi Paplikar. She spends sufficient time to analyse the issue before recommending next step of action for the problem. My kid was so comfortable interaction with the Dr. Very composed , organised , active and carry smile always .

My daughter, Bhumi 5 year old, has speech issue. Dr. Avanthi has helped us a lot. Her sitting tolerance, eye-contact and pointing has improved. Her ability to patiently complete an activity has improved. Though her speech will take time, I would strongly recommend Dr. Avanthi for her positive approach and efforts.

Dr. Avanthi got along with my daughter on the very first day. She helped us out by sharing her goals and methods everyday after the therapy session and made it easier for us to work on my daughter's speech at home. Dr. Avanthi's methodical approach and clear goal setting really helped my daughter in speaking complete sentences and helped us as parents to work with our daughter at home. My 5 year old child (Pruthvi) had pure speech delay. We met Dr. Avanthi when he was 4 years and based on her recommendation we decided for intensive speech therapy for 8 months. And we saw a huge improvement in his speech, his listening skills improved in a group. I highly recommend Dr. Avanthi - she's very calm and patient, exactly what is needed for a therapist.

Doctor is very friendly and patient. She articulated the problem very well, built rapport with Darsh during the first session. Although Darsh was crying as soon as he entered the clinic and wanted to go home, within few minutes he calmed down because of Dr. Avanthi's skillful interaction - we were very surprised and impressed.

Doctor was also very empathetic about our situation and guided well with occupational therapy. Look forward for more sessions with her.

Avanthi madam listens to the problem very patiently and counseled us very nicely. We were new to Bangalore and madam gave a lot of suggestions. We visit her weekly once because of distance. She has given us a lot of activities to be carried out at home. Our son, Pranav (4 years old) was very hyperactive but now he patiently sits and completes the activities.
