He served numerous hospitals in bangalore as consultant before starting his own company rehab one healthcare.Dr. M. Prasanna presently working as professor and vice principal at garden city college of physiotherapy he completed his b.P.T degree from tamil nadu dr. M.G.R medical university in the year 1998.
After that he started his career as lecturer cum clinical therapist at maurya college of physiotherapy over a period of 4 years during this period he engaged extensively practicing neuro rehabilitation of adult and children with motor deficit which made him to realize role of physiotherapist in neuro rehabilitation so he joined master of physiotherapy, (m.P.T) degree program in neuro paediatric under tamil nadu dr. M.G.R medical university and completed in the year 2005 later he perused mba in marketing and hr under bharathidasan university passed with first class in 2010he has undergone training on neuro developmental therapy, manual therapy, taping, myofacial release therapy mckenzie- mdt ,ergonomics etc during his career.
Dr. M. Prasanna joined lecture cum in-charge head of the department at burdwan institute of medical sciences (bimls), burdwan for a brief period during 2005 and 2006 before joining garden city college of physiotherapy, during his short stint at bimls he worked as bos member under burdwan university who helped to frame mpt syllabus.2006 he started his career in garden city college of physiotherapy as assistant professor was teaching physiotherapy subjects of ug and pg student the same year he became hod and started administrative work and also he was coordinator for iso 9001- 2008 worked extensively on improving internal quality in teaching.
Dr. M. Prasanna was appointed as program officer, national service scheme by rajiv gandhi university of health sciences in the year 2009 followed by he organized several regular and special camps in and around bangalore aiming to improve public health and health awareness to school children.
He was promoted as vice principal and professor in the year 2011 at garden city college of physiotherapy taking care of academic and administration. Rguhs approved him as pg guide in the year 2009 since than he is guiding students from neurology and paediatric specialty. Dr m prasanna is currently empanelment examiner , paper setter, evaluator for more than 8 universities in india and also he is a member staff selection committee in kims deemed university karad.
He has participated several national and international conferences and chaired scientific sessions in various conferences. Dr. M prasanna was awarded “best physiotherapist” at physiocon 2014, bangalore.He received “significant contribution to the profession” award in 2014 by bangalore
