Although my paediatrician’s opinion was to wait, I wanted a second opinion. My research led me to Labyrinth Movement and Rehabilitation Centre, Banaswadi, Bangalore. The team conducted a thorough examination and diagnosed low muscle tone and asymmetry, thereby starting my child on neurodevelopment therapy (early intervention). Their expertise and knowledge in Pediatric-Physiotherapy was profound.
Initially, my baby had severe stranger anxiety, making sessions challenging. However, the team worked patiently and she gradually warmed up to them. The team stuck to their word of improving the muscle tone and aiding the child to achieve her milestones independently. We began therapy in August 2025, and within 10 days, she sat up unassisted!
The team guided us through exercises at home and followed up regularly. Within 5 weeks, she progressed to a crawling position on her own, and with tailored training on different surfaces (flat surface, polster, gym ball, etc) my baby started not just crawling on flat ground but up and down the stairs as well.
The DASII Test conducted in the last week of September revealed some delays in gross motor, fine motor, speech, and social skills. The team addressed these areas, providing holistic guidance on exercises, vocabulary building, reducing anxiety and improving social skills. Under their guidance we could use our household items to maximise the skills of our child.
By October, she began standing and lateral walking with support. She showed significant improvements in speech, vocabulary and fine motor skills. Her stranger anxiety reduced substantially.
After 4 months, my baby transformed from an anxious baby who couldn’t quench her curiosity due to lack of movement to an inquisitive, talkative toddler who crawls and walks with support to explore something every waking moment.
We are really grateful to the team for their patience, persistence, and adaptability. Although their continuous sessions may seem tedious, it was an utmost necessity to overcome the stranger anxiety and my child to get comfortable with the environment. My baby, who used to cry while entering the centre initially, didn’t want to leave the centre after sessions by the 3rd month.
As a neurologist and parent, I highly recommend Labyrinth Movement and Rehabilitation Centre, Banaswadi, for their exceptional ********** care and results.
