Happy with: Treatment satisfaction
I’ve been working with Ashmeet Nagpal at PsycHeal for over seven years now, both in individual and group therapy settings. I came across her through a Google search, and over time, this has developed into one of the most meaningful therapeutic relationships I’ve had. Therapy for me has been a process—like peeling the layers of an onion. It’s not always easy or comfortable, but it has been necessary and rewarding.
Over the years, our sessions—both in-person and online—have helped me understand and regulate my emotions, recognize how they impact my mind and body, and build self-awareness. Through her guidance, I’ve become more aware of unhealthy patterns, learned how to have difficult conversations (with myself and others), and discovered where to focus my efforts for meaningful growth rather than getting stuck in unproductive areas or relationships.
Ashmeet brings a lot to the table as a therapist. She listens actively, adapts her approach to meet her clients' needs (conscious and unconcious), and is open to being challenged—something I’ve come to value deeply. She offers constructive criticism and compassionate support when needed and is willing to accept feedback, creating a collaborative dynamic that feels grounded and respectful.
Creating a “safe environment” is something I hadn’t fully understood before working with her. Through our sessions, I’ve started to define what safety means for me and how to seek it in a way that is meaningful. It hasn’t been an easy journey, but it has helped me grow and honour my needs.
Some of the biggest changes I’ve noticed in myself include a better understanding of my emotions, learning to observe without becoming attached, improving objectivity, and identifying patterns—both helpful and harmful. These skills have allowed me to make healthier choices and approach life with greater clarity and compassion and more confidence in calling out bullsh*t.
Therapy is not a quick fix, and progress requires work and willingness to challenge our own assumptions. Ashmeet is a great fit for anyone ready to take on that challenge and truly invest in themselves. Her strengths lie in guiding that process with professionalism, adaptability, and insight.
It’s also worth noting that she offers flexibility with both in-person and online sessions, including availability on weekends. She’s punctual, accommodating, and approachable, which makes the process smoother.
This has been my experience, and therapy is deeply personal, and everyone’s journey will be different. Finding the right therapist can make all the difference, and if you’re ready to do the work and have honest conversations, Ashmeet can be an invaluable partner in your self-exploration and growth, without a doubt.

Ashmeet's sessions are consistently thoughtful and grounding. She is very approachable, non judgemental, curious and genuinely open in how she engages. What I value most is that she isn't afraid to offer her own perspective - she is a straight shooter and offers clarity while still being deeply nurturing. She creates a safe space while encouraging honest self reflection and geniune change rather than surface level reassurance or mere comfort. **** ***** *** *** ********** ** ***** * ***** ********* ****** **** ** ******* ****

I found Dr. Ashmeet at one of the lowest points in my life, when I was struggling to see things for what they were. Her guidance and support during that difficult time truly saved me. Since then, she's helped me learn and unlearn many significant patterns that were holding me back, and I've made progress I didn't think was possible.
She is genuinely trauma-informed: she understands the complexities of working with someone with CPTSD and OCD, and she knows how to be gentle while still empowering me.
She's deeply considerate of my difficult journey and never rushes the process. Her patience and kindness create an environment where I feel safe to explore even the most painful or confusing aspects of my experience.
Her communication about her therapeutic process is clear and thoughtful. She explains what we're doing and why, which is very helpful. Together, we've developed processes that work specifically for me and built a genuinely safe therapeutic space.
She's helped me gain groundbreaking insights about my OCD and CPTSD that have fundamentally changed how I understand myself. More importantly, she's helped me approach them without judgment.
Dr. Ashmeet has been instrumental in helping me reclaim my life and sense of self. *** ** ****** *** **** ********* **** ****** ***** *** I'm immensely grateful for her care and expertise.
