Dr. Anamika Gupta (PhD)

I've always been an ambivert - extroverted, when it comes to voicing most of my emotions, and feelings; and introverted in certain circumstances. It took me enough time to realise that I'd been actively ignoring a significant chunk of my childhood, as that part of my life doesn't have many happy memories that I could recall. I recently also understood that I'd started losing control of a few of my raging emotions, associating these most with events from the present day or an immediate past - that's what happens when the turbulent mind gets caught in the 'recency effect'.

Well, I never thought anyone would ever be able to help me out of this situation; more importantly, I never thought that I would be able to convince myself to seek help and share my life stories with a stranger sitting across the table.

Dr. Anamika Gupta was the first 'stranger' ever, forth whom I managed to do that - and boy did she help me ease in to the process. It was quite a revelation that 'making someone feel comfortable' doesn't always involve talking! At times it could look like a monologue - while the other person spends time listening, and absorbing. She invested enough time understanding everything that I was pouring out - showed me the right path to discovering all the emotions that I had unknowingly bottled up, and then accepting myself as a whole.

It's astounding how a gentle nudge can help a person uncover significant parts of their own lives, and how much of a productive impact could that emotional freedom have on the present, and the future.

I understand that the most challenging part of this discovery, and resolution, is the initiation - and I couldn't have thought of anyone better to help me sail through! Thanks again, doctor!

Dr.Anamika is very helpful and friendly. I took an appointment with her to get rid of my overthinking, fear. She gave me homeworks and guided me through journaling which helped me to understand my emotions better* *** ** * ***** ********* I would suggest her for anyone who finds it difficult to understand their emotions. *** ** * ***** ******

It started with my daughter experiencing some unknown fear of going to a particular section when this semester began, later this turned into fear of going to the school itself.

Every session resulted in some positive behaviour change in my daughter and even lot of learnings for us as parents. Our adolescent was going through rough days and so do we.He couldn't focus on his college work and dealing with Acute Anxiety and Stress that was leading to Frequent Panic Attacks. Off late he has developed a lot of fears which is why it’s difficult for him to stay at campus. In mid of his college session he came back home because he was not able to cope up there. During that time we have started our therapy sessions with Dr Gupta. She is so planned and easy to talk to personal. She patiently listens to all of us and gave her insights and share the goal plans.

Earlier he used to kept saying that he was feeling empty and keeps changing his mind about going back to campus.He is aware of all this though. He has also been very direct, sometimes rude with us which surprises him. He's always been very engaging and polite.

After consulting Dr Gupta,my son is able to focus on making progress with his Subject work. Because of His final exams he has to go back to his College for some make up quizzes. So as such there is a lot of stress and anxiety associated with it which he is able to handle and he feels confident to deal with the situation and his panic attacks.

We are very grateful to the Dr and her timely support. She is a gem of a person. Always answers our questions without any frowning which makes her unique.

We will highly recommend her to all who feel hesitant to go to therapy. It really works!

Anamika ma’am always made me so comfortable and easy to talk. I am consulting her for the past couple of months. She has been really understanding,kind and provides right support. She has helped me to be a better person by helping me being Resilient and working on my hopelessness and confusion in my life.The best part is that she followed a very systematic approach and set realistic goals by taking baby steps. She made me realise that facing and ready to work on my problems will only help me to conquer my demons,not from running away. I remember that afternoon when I went for my session and i spite of no availability of any slot she managed to provide a slot by extending her working hours which really means a lot to me.

After each session she provided me with some Rewirements(home- work in my language) which I always look forward to. Her out of box thinking and the involving activities make the sessions so fun-filled. I feel relaxed and in a better state of mind post my sessions.

Today I can say I am more assertive in my approach I know where to draw healthy boundaries by not offending the other person.

Dr. Anamika Gupta helped me deal with the toughest time and relationship of my life. Her calm, sorted and practical advice really is a blessing for me. She is my go-to person for any kind of confusion, mental breakdown and obstacle in my growth. More than a doctor she is my safe space whom I can trust at any point of my life. My kid experienced some unknown behavior changes and we received a lot of complaints from his school that my kid is not paying attention in the class and is disturbing the class. We tried talking to a couple of child psychologists and pediatric psychiatrists. We were able to get the further guidance from child psychiatrist but not a psychologist or a child counsellor. We visited Dr. Anamika Gupta. Initially 1-2 sessions were purely understanding of home atmosphere and child behavior. After 3rd session, Dr started to interact with my kid by getting engaged equally along with my kid in activities such as drawing, conversation, situational based questions, etc. After few more sessions, we were given few questionnaires about my kid’s behavior at home, outside. My kid slowly started liking the doctor and would be very excited to visit the doctor during his date of appointment. Certain behavior situations were practically exhibited by the doctor to my kid for him to realize certain dos and dont’s. Doctor also listened to our feedback and concerns very patiently and has guided to set the right expectations for my kid such as engaging him in favourite activities, physical activities where his energy would be necessarily required to be channelized, etc .We feel we are on the right track based on the guidance received from the doctor and expectations to be set for our kid. It was worth investing time and getting to know more about my kid’s behavioural issues and understanding the scope and areas of improvement in his behaviour

I visited Anamika Gupta again as I am dealing with some issues in life, and I can already see positive changes after just one session. I’m looking forward to continuing with further sessions. I would definitely recommend her to anyone.
