His areas of special interest are Minimally Invasive Spine surgery, Endoscopic Spine surgery, complex spine surgery. He is considered as a pioneer in Minimally invasive spine surgery in the country with a rich experience of more than 5000 minimally invasive procedures, which include even complex spine conditions, which are not treated with minimally invasive techniques elsewhere.He specialises in Minimally invasive surgery for Simple and Complex Spinal tumours; for anterior and lateral approaches to the spine and minimally invasive surgery for cervical spine and CVJ.He did his MBBS from Karnataka Institute of Medical Sciences, Hubli, Karnataka, followed by M.Ch training in Neurosurgery from National Institute of Mental Health and Neurosciences (NIMHANS), Bangalore, Karnataka.
