Ms. Sneha Kumar Shankar

Sneha Kumar Shankar is a Rehabilitation Psychologist with experience in the field of psychosocial rehabilitation and counselling. She graduated from the Richmond Fellowship Post Graduate College of Psychosocial Rehabilitation, Bangalore in 2011. Before joining Seraniti, she worked at the Richmond Fellowship Society (RFS), ‘Asha’ halfway home, Bangalore from 2014 to 2016 as a rehabilitation psychologist, meeting the psychosocial needs of clients suffering from schizophrenia, bipolar affective disorder, major depression, OCD and anxiety disorders.From 2011 to 2014, she worked as a Medical Service Executive at Lundbeck India Private Limited, Bangalore. She was involved in their Alzheimer’s project, medical training and pharmacovigilance for monitoring drug complaints. As a student, she had the opportunity to be posted at the RFS psychiatric facilities-long stay home, day care centre and halfway home as well as NIMHANS, Bangalore, in their Adult Psychiatry, Child Psychiatry and De-addiction Centre. She gleaned a wealth of knowledge while working with professionals in the mental health field. She was invited as a resource speaker at a NIMHANS symposium titled, ‘Practicalities of starting and running half way homes for persons with mental illness' and has conducted classes for trainees from Mobility India, Bangalore, ‘Therapy Support Specialist’ training for the anxiety-depression-schizophrenia modules for Strides Shasun, Bangalore.
