I’m extremely grateful to Dr. Shashidhar for the scoliosis surgery which went on successfully. From consultation to recovery, everything was handled with ***** care and professionalism. Consulted Dr. Shashidhar for my mom. She is 64yrs old and was suffering a lot with shock like pain in her left leg (radiating from hip to the side of the leg) whenever she walked or stood for long time. Dr. Shashidhar is very amiable and is indeed a specialist when it comes to spine related problems. He does a thorough diagnosis and doesn't rush to conclusions. He explained the problem in a very detailed manner and clarified each and every doubt/questions we had. He suggested for epidural injection prior to surgery which gave her relief for couple of months (we were informed that it isn't a permanent solution). Since the pain reoccured, we went for surgery -TLIF L5S1. We were given both options - Open and Minimally Invasive TLIF L5S1. We went for MI. My mom was initially scared to undergo surgery but the Doctor explained to her in layman's terms and told her it is nothing to fear about and made her feel confident, not every doctor does this. The surgery was successful and she was able to feel the difference after a couple of weeks itself. Currently which is 6 months later, my mom is able to walk and stand without the pain and is back to her normal routine.

Dr. Shashidhar is very approachable and once you are his patient, he makes sure he is there for you throughout your course of surgery and treatment.

This is Vjiay and I had a bad back pain at the lower side of my back and was unable to sit for long or turn/bend.

The same problem of mine (lower back pain due to inflammation of spinal discs) had occurred 1yr back but the treat at Manipal Hospital cost me 33K just in 1 day. They asked me to do Vitamin-D tests and other CBC tests which were not relevant to the problem I was facing. They also asked me to do limited MRI and finally they asked me to take an epidural injection that would relieve me quickly. Though it was successful, many of the things they did were not required.

I just happened to see the feedback given to Shashidhar and it was so good and encouraging. I took a chance and went to him. Today, I am cured and so happy to have found him through practo. He is so simple *** *** ** ************** He just asked me to get an X-Ray and found the issue.

He simply suggested me few exercises and also advised 3-4 days of Physio therapy and my problem was gone in 4-5 days.

It is very important for a doctor to understand a patient's problems and for that he needs to be a good listener, be friendly which allows the patient to get comfortable in sharing all his health issues. I have seen these traits in Dr.Shashidhar. He is one of those few who first makes the patient feel comfortable,then spends time in understanding your root cause before prescribing remedies. one of those who would look at your x-ray/mri films rather than reading reports written by a radiologist. My mother is 60 years old and had been suffering from lumbar canal stenosis for the last 6 years, but six month back her pain increased and was unbearable. This was radiating from the back to the right leg .

We met many doctors in different cities. Then we came to Doctor Shashidhar who listened to us very thoroughly and asked for my mother’s medical history . He suggested us to go for surgery after explaining us the issues in detail. My mother underwent minimally invasive TLIF L4 L5, Microdecompression L3L4 surgery. We have seen more than 10 doctors for my mother's knee pain but only Dr.shashidhar was able understand the actual issue and treat her correctly.

He will never suggest you unnecessary exams and medications. He tries to treat you from the root cause and will also explain you the do`s and don't.

He is extremely friendly and listens to your problem very patiently and diagnosis accurately which most of the doctor don't do.
