Dr Sandesh Onkarappa is a Neuro and Spine surgeon in Banglore.Dr Sandesh has completed his graduation (MBBS) from Shimoga Institute of Medical Sciences, thenhe completed his Post Graduation (MS General Surgery) from Central Institute- Regional Instituteof Medical Sciences, Imphal, Manipur. He then worked as Senior Resident in AIIMS, New Delhi.He then acquired his Superspeciality MCh degree in Neurosurgery from the prestigious instituteKasturba Medical College, Manipal, Karnataka, Also he has been awarded DNB-Neurosurgerydegree by National Board of Examinations, India.Dr.Sandesh has several papers, publications and awards to his credit. He has presented remarkablenumber of scientific papers at national and international platform.Recently, Dr Sandesh & his team received Paul Dudley White International Scholar awardfor highest ranked abstarct from India at International Stroke Conference 2021 byAmerican Heart Association.He has also served as Assistant professor in Department of Neurosurgery , RLJH, Kolar.Dr.Sandesh has more than 4 years of experience in the field of Neurosurgery and has performedmore than 1500 Neurosurgical & spinal procedures. He has expertise in complex neurosurgical andspinal surgeries, has special interest in Minimally invasive spine surgery and Neuronavigationguided surgeries.He has memberships of several associations such as NSI, ASI.He attends workshops regularly, engages himself in research and academic work.
