Dr. Niranjana Raj

Dr. Niranjana Raj is very friendly and explains problems clearly. I didn’t have to wait long for my appointment.

I had undergone FUE hair transplant (HT) in December 2019. After a year I have got complete results now in Dec 2020. Extremely satisfied & happy!!!

Short background: -

I started doing research for finding out the best clinic in Bangalore for hair transplant in August 2019. In a course of over 2 months, after spending around 5k just in consultations with around 10 top clinics, I zeroed down on two of them & finally selected Dr. Niranjana. If you think about a good clinic in Bangalore, chances are that I have probably visited that. :)

My reasons to go for procedure with Dr. Niranjana: -

(i) 12 years of experience - Hair transplant started gaining traction in last decade in India, so technically she is in this domain since the beginning.

(ii) She is a Cosmetologist apart from being a Dermatologist & Hair Transplant Surgeon. Hair transplant is a lot about aesthetics. No matter how good a surgery is done if the final appearance is not good it amounts to nothing. So, a touch of artistry by someone trained in it would most of the time be better than the one not trained.

(iii) Very accommodative - I asked over 100 questions during consultations (Many of which I knew the answers about from my visits to other clinics but just to be sure one final time, lol!!). She answered all of them. Changed my timings for consultation & few other tantrums, all accommodated.

(iv) Results- I saw results of patients who had undergone & interacted with them about their experience.

Now what sealed the deal for me: -

(iv) Integrity - While at many clinics I was suggested to go for higher number of grafts which she could have done as well & made some quick and easy bucks. But she suggested me to preserve my grafts & go for what is required (A great suggestion in retrospect!!).When I insisted to go for more graft for more density , she also assured me that she would do a second procedure again without extra charge if I was not satisfied!!! (top notch professional medical ethics, hard to find these days!!)

Surgery Experience

(i) Shalini - Administrative officer there - very helpful & friendly, took care of all the things after finalizing the date of HT.

(ii)We began early @ 4:00 am, Doctors were very punctual, I was not. :)

(iii )Dr. Niranjana & a team of doctors - performed the HT procedure themselves during entire time. Technical staff were only doing supporting activities & at no point they were involved in surgery. {very important}

(iv) Post surgery consultation & PRP –Extremely good, Done by Dr. Yasmin.

Final word :- I have taken time out to write this review only because I am very happy with my results & this is least I could do for doctors who are skillful & have not yet yielded to the commodification of healthcare in a world where it appears that entire ecosystem is designed to rip you off !!

But don't take my word for it. Just visit once & see it for yourself.

Dr. Niranjana Raj took the time to explain all options and went over the plan in detail, answering all my questions. The wait time at the clinic was good.

I recommend Dr. Niranjana Raj. My experience was positive and I would suggest others consult her as well.

Words will fall short to quantify my gratitude for Dr. Niranjana Raj. Whether it’s acne, hair fall or skin problems; she had been my one stop solution for years now, since 2017 to be specific. Apart from being an amazingly kind person, she is extremely patient who listens to your problems, explains the Dos and Don’ts with diligence and provides a treatment curated to perfection with her pleasantness that always helps when you are acutely concerned about your illness. I had been fighting with acne for a long time until I visited her. Recently, I underwent GFC procedure and I am quite happy with the result. I would like to thank Dr. Yashmin for carrying out the sessions with precision and constantly checking on me during the procedures, topped with a sense of empathy. I would also like to thank Shalinee for taking care of all the trivial and critical matters concerned and for helping me at each step. Last but not the least a special bow of thanks to one of the most graceful women I have ever come across, Dr. Niranjana Raj, whose meticulous approach not only kept my skin and hair problems at bay but also introduced me to the world of skin aesthetics. This review was long overdue, but I am glad I am finally writing it. I had gone to YCDC about 4 yrs back as I was suffering from acute hair loss and I was not happy about it. During the first consultation Dr. Niranjana explained to me in detail yet simple terms, why hair loss and baldness happens. She also explained the different treatments available and how each one has it’s own benefits. The best part is that she did not push any treatment and let me decide based on my understanding. I decided to go with a hair transplant surgery and PRP thereafter. I must say that Dr. Niranjana and her team are extremely talented and professional. Both the transplant procedure and PRP sessions following that were done in a professional manner and the results have been outstanding. I must say, with my hairline back to where it should be, not only has my look transformed, it has also given me great confidence. What better testimony than the fact that my long-time friends and colleagues say that while others are getting old, I have gotten younger :P. I can’t thank enough Dr. Niranjana and her team of doctors including Dr. Suvina and Dr. Yasmeen and the staff at YCDC (Ms Shruti, Ms Shalini and others). Dr. Niranjana Raj is very patient and understanding, taking time to ask about all symptoms before prescribing treatment. I have consulted her twice for different issues and was satisfied both times. The clinic felt comfortable and the staff were helpful.

When I met the doctor, she was nice and friendly..although there was another doctor sitting with her and I could feel judgement and some looks come my way from the other doctor.

I had a problem with the skin around my lips and explained my symptoms. She asked me to take a blood test for an infection * *** **** * *** *** **** ************ *** *** *** *** *** ********* ********* ** *******

I wish the doctor would have asked me of causes instead of directly trying to rule out the obvious. I ended up getting a blood test anyways at the same place.

The report was supposed to be sent to me in 2 days but it never came even after a week.

I called the clinic and only then did they send it to me.

After a visit to a different doctor I was diagnosed with lip eczema .

I feel Dr Niranjana should have paid a lil more attention to my symptom since I did mention I had eczema on other parts of my skin previously.

I booked a follow up appointment and that was cancelled since the doctor wasn't there.

Over all I was not satisfied with the experience, I feel I ended up wasting my money ** ********** ******** ********** My visit did not really have a positive outcome.

She is the only one to go to for skin treatment. **** **** ************* * **** **** *** *** ** *** **** ******** I have been to many dermatologists than I can ever think of visiting. And she is a saviour for sure.
