It often happens that people bury certain stories deep within, those that carry emotional weight and remain untouched for years. Sometimes, all that is needed is a safe and holding space to gently uncover them, foster healing, build resilience, and move toward growth. As an RCI-Licensed Clinical Psychologist, she strives to create that space through a strong therapeutic alliance built on empathy, trust, and collaboration.Over the years, she has held space for individuals navigating a wide range of challenges: relationship difficulties (“My partner has changed so much after marriage that I am unable to believe it”), persistent low mood (“Even on good days, I feel like I’m just pretending to be okay.”), grief (“I keep waiting for the day it won’t hurt to remember them”), workplace stress, mental health struggles linked to chronic medical conditions, pregnancy-related concerns (“Everyone expects me to feel joy, but all I feel is fear”), adjustment issues (“I thought I’d be happy after coming to this college but I just feel lost.”), and substance use, among others. While she draws from various therapeutic modalities, she primarily works within an Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) framework. This approach can help cultivate psychological flexibility through mindfulness, acceptance, and actions aligned with personal values, thereby empowering clients to live more meaningfully, even in the presence of pain. And when she’s not working, you’ll likely find her humming along to her favourite ’90s track, cup of chai in hand, which she describes as her little ritual of warmth and grounding.
