I had been to consult Akshata, since I had creepy doubts regarding my diabetes management at a very young age of mine. I was devastated by the very statement that I am diabetic. I was gaining a lot of weight which in return was affecting my sugar levels. We as patients believe and create a lot of myths though not intentionally. Dr. Akshatha helped me break out of these myths about my eating habits. She not only gave me a diet but explained why I should avoid or include a particular food item in my diet and didn't ask me to just follow her instructions blindly.
