Dr. Jyotsna Mirlay

We have been married for 7 years now, it was after the 2nd year of marriage that we finally concluded we were in need of fertility services. Since then we have been running pillar to post visiting different doctors and various clinics, tried many different systems of medicine, all in vain.

Finally we were fortunate to meet Dr.Jyotsna Mirlay in 2017. She studied our medical history thoroughly and suggested the treatment keeping in mind requirements of my body. As mentioned earlier, we have been to different doctors/clinics in Bangalore. Most of them just follow a standard procedure blindly, not taking into account what the patients requirements are. They just follow their textbooks and are hesitant to accept the fact that 'No two people are alike nor their treatment'. They just rush to include you in their batch plans. This is where Dr. Jyotsna differs, she takes inputs from us, studies how our body reacts, and then suggest the treatment accordingly.

The ivf procedure was done at Nova, where her clinic has tie up with, under Dr.Mahesh Koregol. Infertility treatment is real tough both emotionally and physically, Being in the hands of a veteran doctor really helps you stand it. Thank you Dr. for being so understanding of our fears and concerns and guiding us in the right path. Thank you for your support, encouragement and expertise throughout our journey. We met this doctor after failing 5 months naturally. I am 35 and my husband is 38. We wanted to try out with iui or probably go for adoption later and we had told this to doctor in our initial consultation. Initially everything seemed so nice, for once we thought we have met the right doctor. To start with we were asked to get all kinds of tests done. After the first failed iui the doctor kept telling us only the Option of IVF. We were still dealing with the disappointment and she was pushing us for IVF. Also the IVF would cost 3.5 lacs. We wanted to maybe try 2-3 iui’s over a period of 6 months and then consider it. *** *** ******* **** ****

Moreover the doctor was bit rude and inconsiderate. We are normal people who don’t understand medical stuff. She was a bit rude when we asked questions and had some doubts about the treatment. We had spent around 30k by this time.

Not everyone has funds immediately and can take financial decision instantly. My request to doctor is pls be clear in the first consultation itself. In your file the attempts of iui has four columns and initially you told we can go up to 3-5 iui’s. Also pls fine tune your tone and be more understanding. Not only are we paying through our nose but we are going through a emotional turmoil.

Dr Jyotsna is a rare and incredible doctor. I was diagnosed with PCOS and, together with my husband for unexplained infertility. Dr Jyotsna walked us through the whole situation so gently and with so much care. She helped me concieve through an IUI She always had time for questions and in a very stressful situation when I almost lost my baby, was there for me like a rock. Thanks to her timely intervention all went well . She was accessible anytime I needed her, and her warmth and confidence gave us the ability to deal with whole difficulty of infertility and our situation.

Dr Jyotsna has a very calm demeanor. We have seen her twice. She spent close to 45 minutes with us answered every single question, and even waited for us to ask more.
