The environment was good, and Dr. Alok Banka was friendly during the consultation.

I have snoring issues. I was concerned about surgery, then I consulted dr. Alok Banka. He is friendly to approach and he took time to explain about the reason and what more damages it cause to body. He explained surgery process and recovery process and its benefits very patiently that gives me more confident to go for surgery. It’s been almost a month after surgery, though I’m in recovery phase, I’m more relieved and snoring also get reduced.

Dr. Anand Arumugam is a highly skilled physician who is very genuine and empathetic, qualities that are often missing nowadays. I consulted him about prostate removal surgery and a urinary tract infection, and his advice was very helpful.

Over the past one year I have been under the treatment of Dr. Alok Banka. Have been referring him for my Sinus related issues. I can share that the diagnosis, advice and treatment has been extremely helpful and by far, more than what I could have expected!!

What separates him from other Doctors:

Have visited many Doctor’s in my lifetime but the experience I continue to have and had with him stands out due to the following reasons:

1. Diagnosis: This is by far the most important point I personally feel a Dr should possess. Dr. Alok is excellent in his diagnosis of a patient’s condition as he hears them out fully.

2. Medication: The medicines he recommended were extremely helpful and gave the desired result for me. Not a single medicine is recommended without a valid reason or without conducting relevant medical tests and he would clearly explain what medications he’s prescribing and what the medication is supposed to achieve (which it does!!)

3. One of the few Doctor’s I have known who don’t rampantly prescribe “Antibiotics” without valid clinical observations or reasons. Very rarely have I met a Dr. who allows & gives sufficient time for the body to heal naturally with supportive medications and only recommends antibiotics once the need is established. And the dosage is also for the specific requirement and not a random dose, which really helps the healing process.

4. Humane Touch: He’s an extremely patient Dr who fully hears his patients and fully understands not only the physical difficulties faced by his patients but also is sensitive to their mental and emotional side as it’s extremely important during any illness.

Without doubt would recommend anybody who is reading this and seeking an ENT Doctor’s treatment to connect with him and have full faith in his treatment and follow it completely.

I was always skeptical about allopathic medication and practitioners. I believed they do treat only the symptom and not the root cause of the disease. He is very straight to the point when it comes to diagnosing the disease and its treatment. His main aim was to make sure that his patient’s are non-dependent on drugs for life, through his practical, relevant and realistic treatments. I was moved by his genuineness. He thoroughly explained about the disease and the post-operative treatment which helped me ease my fear and related myths about the operation to a great extent. He is very compassionate, a good listener and has excellent bed side mannrs. Staff is also very polite and helpful.

I had been suffering from frequent headache for more than 3 years.Then I visited him for a second opinion as another doctor had suggested me to undergo surgery in order to clear the sinuses and correction of Septum. The day I consulted him for the first time he saw the CT scan and told me the sinuses look clear and told me that he wouldn't perform a surgery for a very minimal mucosal thickening in the sinuses. Instead he pointed me to the right doctors to diagnose the reason behind my headaches which wasn't related to sinusitis.

He explained every detail to how the DNS is not impacting the physical environment of the nose or breathing (definitely not the cause of headache), and it’s absolutely fine to not go for the surgery. Every patient needs this kind of diagnosis, in times of COVID he could have taken advantage of suggesting a surgery but his motto is different and clear. He is really good and is able to quickly diagnose the problem. He doesn't ask for any unnecessary tests. He is very patient and takes time to listens to the problems. Definitely not monearary minded.

The place is maintained very well. The receptionists are also sweet and help you with everything you ask for. I booked my slot over phone and I was there on time and I didn't have to wait much.

I was having episodes of sneezing, runny nose, and low grade fever for almost 7 years, which affected my quality of life. I was diagnosed with sinusitis, with blocked passage to maxillary sinuses by doctor Tamil Mani in IIT Chennai 4 years ago. He suggested for surgery, but due to other health issues, I couldn't undergo surgery. In the past 1 year, I was again having these sneezing episodes, and sometimes breathing issues. Based on the reviews in Practo, I decided to meet Dr. Alok. He saw the Ct scans and examined me. He told me that I have deviated nasal septum, sinusitis and allergy. He suggested for a ct scan as past one was done 3 years ago. After seeing the reports, he said that ideally surgery (Septoplasty endoscopic sinus surgery) is required. I asked doctor if there are any risks involved, and he said "we don't do anything that is risky". His confidence in his skill gave me the courage to undergo surgery. Such a nice human being he is. Treats his patients like a friend and is easily approachable. I underwent surgery in Manipal hospital whitefield in december 2020. The whole team of Dr. Alok was so good. They kept me very relaxed before surgery. The surgery went on smoothy and I was discharged in a day. After that, there were few follow ups and it all went smoothly.Its almost 7 months now, and I am completely cured. Fun fact is that I came to know that he is a specialist *** *** ** *** **** ******* ** ********* *** *** ********* I had through a colleague who also had the same surgeries few days before me under him, only after I had already taken the decision to undergo surgery under him.Overall, I would him highly recommend him for any issues related to ENT.Loads of thanks to Dr. Alok and his team.

1st visit on 21/08/21 Saturday, ear pain for daughter 12 years old, Dr checks gives medicine, daughter's pain continues even after taking anti-biotic/pain killer prescribed by Dr, she isnt able to sleep the whole night. 22/08/21 Sunday daughter has immense pain the whole day, we keep giving prescribed painkiller but it doesnt help. In the evening, scared that daughter will not be able to sleep because of pain Sunday night also, call up the mobile no mentioned in the prescription. Call is rejected from other side & receive a SMS > "Will get back as soon as free (kinds)", we wait for half hour to hear from Dr, no response, send whatsapp messages to the Dr mobile no mentioned, no response, daughter is crying now of pain, call up the other mobile no mentioned for appointment, some Lady picks up & expresses helplessness saying if Dr doesnt reply to direct message to his mobile no, she cant help. Daughter is crying in pain for hours now, we send imessages to Dr mobile no, since it is an iphone to iphone message delivery, I can see that message has been delivered, no reply, we send some 100 messages, this Dr doesnt bother replying; daughter spends another night in pain crying the whole night, medicine prescribed by Dr Banka doesn’t help.

Next morning, 23/08, rush to the clinic at 8.30 AM. Dr checks & says, daughter has to tolerate the pain, cleans the ear of wax & on repeated insistence gives another pain killer for the night & asks to come back in 3 days which means 26/08/21. On 25/08, call up the clinic to fix an appointment for 26/08 but clinic lady informs that Dr is available only for a limited time on 26/8 & thus it is better to come next day 27/08. 27/08 visit the Dr, he checks & clears the ear of wax.

Am asked to pay the Dr fees again whereas it is clearly mentioned in the prescription that one follow-up visit within 6 days ie 1st visit 21/08 + 6 days = 27/08 is free. I refused to pay & receptionist says that only Dr can take that call. Dr's demands for his fee with logic > I had visited on 23/08 & that covers the free consultation. **** * *** ** ***** ******* *** ******** ***** ** *** ***** ** *** ** ********** *** ******* ******* ** ******* ** * ** *** ******** **** Dr is not reachable even for emergency case even on phone when we kept calling / messaging him. ** ******** ** *** ****** ***** ** *** ***** **** *** ******* ****** ********* ***** ** **** *** ***** 100s of messages & calls to his mobile no goes unanswered even in emergency.*** *** ********* ** *** ******* ** * ** ** *** *** **** ** ******* ****** **** ** ********* ******* ******** ******** * ***** *

2. One free consultation within the certain days is to ensure that the treatment advised by the Dr is fulfilled or is it just for solving interim queries that too of emergency nature for which also Dr Banka is un-available ?

3. Dr Banka reads repeated cry out of help messages on his mobile but doesn’t bother to reply back ******* ** ** ********** ** * ****** ******* *** ******* ** ******** **** **** * ******** ********* ****** ****** **

I will never again go to this Dr *** ** **** ********** ** ********** ***** * *** ** ******** *** ********* ****************** ********** ** ***** ** *** *** ***** *** ******* **

*** ** *** **** *** ******* *** ******** Dr Alok Banka is very polite, humble and extremely professional. he is a very good listener, does not rush and explains the issue completely. he makes sure the patient feels comfortable. I have consulted so far. I have been consulting him first time in 2019, When my fathers-in-law visit to Bangalore, he faces problems during sleep due to ENT issue so we met with Dr. Alok Banka, he thoroughly checks and found that platelet is grow insight the upper layer of mouth. After that he suggest to do Operation and the operation was successfully completed now, he feels better and comfortably sleeping so I heartly thanks to Doctor.

In 13th September 2021 again, I visited to Dr. Alok Banka Clinic due to My wife’s ENT-Nasal Polyp issues and not being able to breathe properly from last Year’s, we unable to check-up due to COVID-19 lockdown. Now, He thoroughly checks and written for do CT scan and when he saw CT scan report, he suggests to do Septoplasty Surgery because its already blockage the nose and difficult to take breathe properly. So, we planned to do surgery and operation was successfully completed on 16th September 2021.
