She started with us at 12 and it seems she had an appointment at 12 and that patient party reached around 12:15 pm. The receptionist called Dr. Yesheswini five times when she was talking to us and my son. She is professionally very good but she needs to be more careful with her time. As receiving five calls in 30 mins (while she is busy with her patient) makes a dent at otherwise in a positive experience. And it is only 30 mins slotted for each appointment which is too short to let the doctor know the history of the patient. So she need to think the appointment time at least for 1 hr. She is also pre-fixed diagnosing my son as ADHD while he was twice screened negative on ADHD tests. So my experience was mixed. She was in hurry to finish the appointment as her receptionist was keep on calling which is totally unacceptable.

Even if a child does not meet the criteria for ADHD, the behaviors can continue to impact the functioning of the child in multiple areas (Social, school, home behaviors). It is imperative to understand the underlying dynamics contributing to the behavioral issues. Not every hyperactive child meets the criteria for ADHD diagnosis. In this regard multiple interventions to understand the behavior need to be pursued (parenting, class-room accomodation, Child & parental counseling). In the first session, it is not possible to complete all angles of intervention (history from both parents, clinical observation of the child, school history, diagnosis and recommendation plan) and answering all parental questions. We regret the inconvenience of session interruptions caused and we will certainly look into this going forward. more..

Dr. Yesheswini has always been helpful and very supporting in helping our daughter. From the point she refused to go to school in 4th grade to the point she is excelling in academics in 12th grade, my daughter has done very well. Whenever she had setbacks over years, Dr. Yesheswini has been there to help. One thing I always appreciate, is that the amount of time she spends with every patient with a genuine concern to help.

Dr Yesheswini is associated with many NGOs and is involved in many charitable projects. Her interest is not in making money and she spends more time with patients as compared with the fees she takes.

She is one of the finest doctors we have ever had the opportunity to meet and is highly qualified and experienced.

Her approach is very direct and frank but in keeping with the best interest and welfare of the patient and family.

We are extremely grateful and thankful to her.

Visited For Child and Adolescent Problems

We went there with great hopes; however all our hopes were drowned very soon!! It was not worth the time, money or energy. All she did was gather the behavioral aspects of our child from us and fit it into ADHD. She didn't try to speak to the child, her patient nor try to understand his psyche. She referred us to some more specialists and as such didnt give any counseling/guidance to us (parents) on how to deal with the problem. Seemingly, her focus is more towards child's academic performance rather than the overall development!! Ourselves being double graduates (myself M. S. and husband M. D.) strongly believe that overall development of the child is primary and education secondary. She was advocating the idea that speaking in native language hinders the education of the child!! Yeah, if this idea was true, European countries like France/ Germany would have been underdeveloped countries!!
There is a network of schools/ doctors referring her.
If you feel your child is hyperactive, don't invest your time in coming here; you'll not find a solution here. You probably have to run around a few more therapists, still not sure if the problem can be resolved. Instead, spending more time with the child ourselves is a better idea. That will definitely work!!

Key interventions for any child with ADHD include, Behavioral therapy for the child and parent counseling & management (to help, handle the behavioral issues of the child). These interventions need to be pursued after the first session, in order to support the child and manage behaviors consistently in different situations. Please note that ADHD is a condition which needs to be managed by multi-modal intervention , requiring parental time and effort as single step intervention will not be beneficial . The first session involves taking history from both parents, observing the child, diagnostic conclusion and intervention planning. Recommendations are given based on parental concerns expressed during the session ( academic concerns , behavioral concerns). Any doctor will pick up certain areas of developmental lag / age appropriate improvements required in the child (language delay- not specifically related to English, comprehension), which attributes to overall development. Behavioral /developmental concerns are the main focus for any child evaluation unless academic issues are raised by the parents during the session. As a doctor I am obligated to provide all recommendations ( please review my write up given during the session with specific recommendations ) and its a parental choice to follow-up on the recommendations given. more..

Doctor Yesheswini, is one of the best Doctors you could find in Bangalore for Kids with ADHD.

Dr. is very patient, she understands all the issues well, and explains the problem in details. She never gives up on any patient, no matter how many times you go back to her with questions. She gives medication only when and if required.

A good doctor who understand kids with different abilities. And who educates parents, teachers and families how to accept and handle these kids with love and patience..
