Dr. Vijaya Manohar

I visited Dr. Vijaya Manohar for both of my pregnancies at her Sharadha Women's Clinic in Koramangala nine years ago, and she remains my favorite doctor. Dr. is a wonderfully positive person who always provides encouraging feedback during my check-ups, even when my reports show some issues. For me, visiting her felt less like going to a hospital and more like visiting my mother’s home. Her support was invaluable in helping me have smooth deliveries.Last year, I experienced some issues with my periods. Since I had moved to another area in Bangalore that is quite far from my previous home, I consulted a different doctor, but I was not satisfied with the care I received. Therefore, I decided to travel 25 kilometers to see Dr. Vijaya Manohar for her opinion. She resolved my issue in just two appointments, and I am very thankful to her.

I had been consulting Dr vijaya manohar since I started planning pregnancy. At 36 weeks my water bag broke and she suggested I reach hospital immediately. she examined and said we will try for normal delivery and she really did. To my surprise dr. vijaya and a whole supporting team(junior doctor and nurses) of Apollo cradle helped to me to have normal delivery. I only had my husband next to me at the moment and due to pain I had given up on having normal delivery. but the team talked me through the pain and helped me have a normal delivery. I will always be thankful for her and the team. I never knew or believed doctor's put so much effort for normal delivery.

Very experienced, kind and professional doctor. I was very scared as my bleeding had been going on for almost 5 weeks non stop. She ordered all the required tests and helped me understand the possibilities clearly. She is like a wise aunt who happens to be a very good gynaec also. Would recommend.

Doctor ** ********* *** friendly, explained all the things in a proper manner.. but the charges of checkups I think is way too high compared to other hospitals and also the staff is rude and misguided us on the checkup process which led us to disappoint not expected this kind of treatment from a hospital like Apollo.

I felt violated!

I have scanty periods with no other issues as such. Doctor wanted to examine me physically. She used some spoon like steel article and literally pushed it inside me. It was awfully painful! She said you need to pass urine and it won't pain after that. I obeyed. She did the same thing again. This time I couldn't take it any further and had to tell her to stop digging inside me.By this time, I already had tears rolling down my eyes. Looking at me, she said, ur married for so long, all this shouldn't hurt! Can you imagine the insensitivity! After this she inserted her gloved finger which was also painful and that is when she finally had some mercy and used some gel onto her finger to perform the physical test.

In my opinion, she could have at least used the gel from the first time itself and shouldn't have to wait for me to ask her to stop!! I had read good reviews about her but I should have noticed that only pregnancy cases had given good reviews!

Go at your own risk and with mental preparation to be tormented at some really sensitive parts of your body!

The experience was fine till the time doctor did the initial analysis. Pat that, she recommended some tests before giving any prescriptions . Mostly blood. She also recommended her own lab which resides in the same premises. The horror began then. The staff is very shabby and iI wouldlike to believe incompetent. M pretty sure they did not go through even a basic training. They pierced the needle incorrectly into my wife's am and tried drawing blood. Failed and induced a lot of pain. Tried again after taking the syringe out and re inserting. Failed again.. More pain...

Then they resorted to the palm area. Drew a few drops of blood and misguided the needle again. This time they tried inserting back the blood along with air into the veins. My wife felt as if a lightning struck her hand and the pain was excruciating. They took out the needle and we're ready for another try. I lost my cool and stupid them while my wife ws cryingin pain. All this just to draw blood. After that, iI hadto rush my wife to another hospital to get this treated. She wd keptunder observation and then under medicines till now. Been close to 4 days and she is still not able to work properly with her hand and taking pain killers. M planning to sue them. Any pointers are appreciated. Please be aware before visiting this place.

I had my second c-section done by this Dr. through out the consultations she has been friendly and communicating well. ******** **** ** ***** ** *** ********* ******* * **** *** *** **** * **** **** *** ******** ** ** ****** I had my first c-section done in Hyderabad and after few months I couldn't even notice the scar where the incision was made. But with my 2nd, done through this Dr, few months post partum, when I finally had a chance to look at my incision, I noticed two scars running through out the length of my abdomen. And the doctors never mentioned why this had to be done. And the scars are very prominent too. Although, I do not have any other issues with the surgery, * **** ** ** **** ************** ** *** *** ** not have mentioned why there was need to make two incisions. * ** *** ***** *** ** **** ******* **** *** ***** ** *** ***** ** ** **** ***** ** **** ********* ******** ** ** **** **** *** *** ********** I would not recommend this Dr. if you are someone who cares about the aesthetics of the procedure too.

It was less to do with the doctor than their admin, and may be your team as well. Why are you getting clinics on board if they can't handle the rush? They have people walking in, plus they have Practo appointements. How will the doctor manage?

And seriously you have give 15-minute slots of appointment. Do you guys realise that gynaec problems take a lot of talking and diagnosis? How will the patient move over to the next?

My appointment was at 8 pm, and I was finally called in at 8.45. And the doc was clearly in a rush to go home because the clnic closes at 9 pm. It's not her fault. But there were just so many patients waiting for her still.

You must ask them to cap the number of patient visits.

And please ask the admin/receptionist not to enter the cabin when the patient is talking. A patient is aggrieved, he or she wants a doctor's total attendance.

Doc was really good.. But appointment with practo doesnot count. You need to wait in the queue anyway. My turn came only after 45 mi .. Which was a little disappointing since I need to postpone couple of things for this and this more imp for me.

The doc was very friendly and prescribed some tablets which had no side effects.

The lab is inside the hospital so need not travel separately for the blood tests and reports..

All my reports were good so it would have been great if the root cause of my problem was noticed..

She is the perfect Gynec, she treats the patients very well, I felt very safe with her for my first pregnancy and I will go with her again for my second pregnancy also. She makes us comfortable and it feels more like a family person with her. I recommend her for every lady. Perfect Gynec 😊
