It started exactly 6 months ago when I found out that my voice was getting weaker. After a few days, I started to notice that my voice became fragile, hoarse, and fatigued. So, I consulted a nearby ENT doctor, after doing all the tests, he said its Spasmodic Dysphonia (yeah, I too didn't know it then) and he told me that I may not be going to get my voice back permanently. I was so shocked to hear that because I was expecting a normal throat infection which could be resolved in a month. I wasn't convinced by that so I visited so many hospitals in Chennai and Hyderabad. Since there is no swelling, pain, or anything, all the doctors are not taking it seriously and they are just giving medicine for GERD and Cold.

It's been 2 months and still, my voice is like that only, so I started panicking and became so depressed. Every day waking to see whether my voice improved or not and finding out it didn't was making me so sad day by day. One day, I came across a doctor who specialized in these voice problems and after diagnosis, he said that it was Sulcus Vocalis (yeah, yeah, I didn't know this one too) and there is no medicine for it and surgery is the only option for that problem. I was happy because now I found a way but my father asked what happens if it fails, he said that we can't say anything now. So we consulted other doctors about the surgery and they too said it was Sulcus Vocalis and surgery is the only option for it and there is no medicine but bear the consequences in mind that you may not get your original voice and even if it succeeds now you may get respiratory problems in future. Now, all my hopes of getting my voice back died right there, this time it hit me so hard that I don't even want to consult other doctors anymore.

A month passed, it's been 3 months now and still, my voice is like that only. This time my father made me visit this Manipal Hospital Whitefield in Bangalore where I consulted Dr. Vijay Rangachari, after diagnosis he said it was neither Spasmodic Dysphonia nor Sulcus Vocalis, it was just a nerve strain and it may take some 3-6 months to resolve your problem and I assure you, you will get your voice back. I didn't believe it at first because I consulted 12 doctors so far and used their medicine still, I am here. So, I used his medicine for a month and still no improvement, now I am getting second thoughts about him and my father convinced me to give him another month and this time to my surprise, it worked and I started to notice an improvement in my voice and after next visit, my voice is becoming so close to normal.

After getting treated by him for 3 months, I got my voice back, now If I reflect on what happened is that Dr. Vijay Rangachari diagnosed my problem correctly because he has seen it from another perspective and treated it the right way with care. Other doctors just hadn't diagnosed my problem correctly wanted to do surgery only, they didn't think about what happens to me if it fails.

Now, after 6 months of agony, my voice is normal and my life is normal, thanks to Dr.Vijay Rangachari and I am genuinely so glad I consulted him and got treated by him.

My daughter is 5 years old and she was not able to breathe freely while sleeping. She is used to breathe through her mouth and frequently she used to suffer with throat infection and difficulty in breathing and swallowing.

Visited Dr. Vijay Rangachari and doctor identified the problem which was due to Adenoids and Tonsils. Doctor suggested for Adenoidectomy with Tonsillectomy under GA and explained very well on the surgery which gave us the confident to go with the surgery for the little one.

Doctor gave pre-medication to my daughter and planned for surgery on 15th April 2023.

Second week of December 2020, I have undergone the Mastoid with Tympanoplasty surgery for my Right ear by Dr Vijaya Rangachari at Manipal Hospital Whitefield.

Thanks to Dr Vijay Sir for taking care personally for pre and post-surgery very well. Just to give the back ground of the issue, I had severe ear pain in the month of July/August time frame & felt like some hearing loss too, being afraid of Covid19, visited nearby clinic used ear drops and antibiotics but somehow I was not comfortable myself I am not sure why.

So I visited Dr Vijay sir in Manipal Hospital Whitefield end of September 2019. He clearly identified explained the problem of hole in ear drum & infection and clearly informed what precautions I need to take care of…He tried treating the whole (closing) with ear drops and antibiotics. But hole is big(shown to me in the monitor) could not close with medicine so required to go for surgery. Right now my wound is very healthy , graft is healthy, feeling like hearing is improved no pain at all ….required to re-visit in the month April as a follow-up.

I had recently undergone nose(left sinus) surgery. I had difficulty breathing through nose due to deviated septum, left sinus filled with mucus and overgrowth of polyp.
