A graduate of Mysore University with honors (6th Rank) in 1993, she apprenticed with a respected Senior Dental Surgeon for over a year as his Assistant Dentist at a busy practice in Madikeri, Coorg. Later, she taught Graduate Prosthetic Dentistry for a year prior to venturing out on her own into private practice. Having set up a hospital-based practice at a reputed Trauma Centre (Hosmat) in Bangalore in 1995, Dr. Vijai has since, gone on to establish two independent offices in different parts of the city over the last 13 years.Her keen and persistent aptitude for restorative dentistry saw her pursuing a plethora of workshops and courses to hone her skills continuously in these niche areas. Dr. Vijai successfully credentialed in the field of dental implants by completing the 300-hour Maxi Course® of the AAID (American Academy for Implant Dentistry) and the 240-hour Implant Residency of the ICOI (International Congress of Oral Implantologists).She is a Fellow of the International Congress of Oral Implantologists (ICOI), an Associate Fellow of the American Academy of Implant Dentistry (AAID) and a Diplomate of the ICOI as well. She is a member of good standing of both, the AAID and the ICOI as well as the IAO (Indian Academy for Osseointegration) and ISOI (Indian Society of Oral Implantologists).Having spent considerable time expanding her practice and its scope, she has been actively sought after by graduate dentists who wish to spend time with her and apprentice under her before moving on in their careers.

I visited Dr. Vijai with an intention of having a dental implant done. One of my root canal tooth cap came out with a portion of the tooth and the filling. I was told by other dentist that my tooth cannot be saved and it was true to a great extend, but Dr Vijaya did an excellent job in saving my tooth.

Dr. VG is a very experienced doctor and she has great hands on her practise. She knows her work extremely well and based on the paitent's view or mindset, she also finds a way to keep her paitent warm and away from any worry at the chair. She keeps on talking, telling her paitent what she is doing and asking for any issue / uncomfortable sensitivity or pain and immediately reacts on that to ease things out. I like her thoroughness in explaining the work she needs to do after the 1st examination. The whole experience is wonderful. On the process side, I like the appointment system where the paitent is notified by email and SMS a day in advance. I wish her to keep the same momentum for all her paitents year after year.
