Wg Cdr (dr) Vg Vasishta (retd) Was Born In Bangalore On 03 Sep 1958. He Obtained His Medical And Postgraduate Medical Degree In Radiology From The Government Medical College In Nagpur In 1984. With A Passion To Serve The Country, He Joined The Army Medical Corps As A Specialist Medical Officer. He Fulfilled His Desire For Higher Education And Became Member Of The American Institute Of Ultrasound Medicine. He Is A Recognized Postgraduate Teacher For The Rajiv Gandhi University Of Medical Sciences And A Guide For Many Md Students At The Institute Of Aerospace Medicine, Bangalore. He Is Also The Only Recognized Guide For Phd In Radio Diagnosis In The State. He Has Been Instrumental In Conducting Various Studies That Have Lead To Changes In The Medical Standards In The Armed Forces. For His Achievements, He Has Been Awarded Fellowship From Various International Medical Institutes Like Aium, Lahey Medical Center, Boston, Jefferson University Philadelphia, International Medical Sciences Association & Indian Society Of Aerospace Medicine. The Suvarna Karnataka Rajyotsava Award Was Given By The Government Of Karnataka In 2006 For Excellence In Medicine For His Work On Arthritis And Cancer. Given His Academic And Scientific Temper, That There Are Number Of International Publications And Presentations To His Credit Come As No Surprise.
