Hoped for better: Treatment satisfaction
Visited Dr. Tejasvi for thyroid issue and unexplained weight gain, I informed him about my other issues like sleep issues, low fertility, and the medicines prescribed by my psychiatrist and gynaecologist.
He explained me well about the reason for my weight gain and moderate increase in TSH. He suggested some more test for thyroid, and suggested to join the weight management program, and asked me to speak to psychiatrist, to provide an alternate to the medicines prescribed by him as the medicines could contradicts my treatment for low fertility.
As pregnancy is my priority, I immediately scheduled a meeting with my gynaecologist and informed her about the medicines prescribed by my psychiatrist and moderate increase in TSH. She checked all the medicines and confirmed that all the medicines are safe and there is no need to panic. She also prescribed a low dosage tablets for moderate increase in TSH and didn't suggest any other Test.
As we all know that there is lot of asymmetric information when it comes to medical treatment, I humbly request all the patients not to panic and go for second opinion before starting any treatment.
