Dr Suresh and his fiefdom at JIVAS, which is the foot clinic at BMJH, seem to think that they are above things like thorough investigations, bedside manners, and educated responses to patients' concerns.
My father was admitted here for what was termed a 'leg attack'. Things went smoothly in the beginning, with the angioplasty and the wound debridement going well, but then slipped soon after. The foot clinic's care of my father's wound lacked planning, to say the least, and the skin graft surgery dates were recommended based on which side of the bed the consultant got up from.
Needless to say, the graft was performed despite presence of infection and was rejected, costing us over Rs 60,000 in hospital and surgery costs. We had been told that there was a 20% chance of rejection, but the way this was handled was appalling. No remorse, no corrective measures- repeat same process ad nauseum. When asked what could be done, he said "clean India until all infections are eliminated."
I wouldn't recommend JIVAS to anyone.
