Dr. Shivshankar Diggikar is a well-trained neonatologist and pediatrician. He completed his pediatric training at the prestigious Bangalore Medical College and Research Institute. He then did his neonatology training at Manipal hospitals awarded by the Indian Academy of Pediatrics ( IAP) , before moving to London to persuade core neonatal training at Homerton university hospitals awarded by the royal college of pediatrics and child health ( RCPCH). During his training, he has managed a large number of extremely premature babies from 23weeks of gestation age. He has expertise in managing babies with moderate to severe encephalopathy, PPHN, Sepsis. He has few research publications under his name and is a member of IAP, IMA ( Indian medical association), and an associate member of RCPCH. His area of interest includes neonatal brain injury and prevention, neurodevelopmental follow up and bedside imaging( echocardiogram, cranial ultrasound, and thoracic us) for babies to improve outcomes. He has also been trained in Bayley's Neurodevelopmental assessment and certified Prechtl's assessment for high-risk babies. He is a certified Early Nutrition Specialist (ENS, Germany)He has the vision to improve neonatal outcomes in fewer resource settings in India.

Our baby was born prematurely (27 weeks) and he was in NICU for 2.5 months and was under Dr Shivashankar's treatment. How can we thank him and his team for all the care, support and love they extended to us during those days at NICU. NICU experience is tough for parents but Dr Shivashankar was very supportive & understanding and he guided us throughout that period. My babies where born in milan hospital and they had moved to this hospital.i had too much of tension all that changed to positive things.I had a very good experience with the doctors of ovum hospital..very kind-full and they explain each and every things in-details ..they took care of the babies very well...i had a fear in starting when they had come to the hospital..but the day 2 itself i got confidence that by babies will be good and im in same safe doctors...they informed me i can go back to milan hospital...but after the confidence i got here with the doctors i never want to meet any other doctors for by babies...i like to do all the consultation form these doctors itself...
i thank all the docotors who have treated my babies from my bottom of my heart...i can never ever forget the doctors...
