After his initial graduation, Dr. Shakir completed his MS in General Surgery from the Sri Ramachandra University in Chennai and later shifted his attention towards urology and transplant surgeries by obtaining his MCh in Urology and Diploma is minimal access surgery.

I suffered from severe pain in the left lower abdomen with intense pain radiating to the back. I consulted Dr. Shakir who after a preliminary examination diagnosed it as a stone either in the kidney or ureter. I was advised to undergo a CT scan which confirmed his diagnosis. Dr.Shakir is very articulate , patient, and a wonderful Doctor to interact with.
