Dr. Shakir Tabrez has over 10 years of surgical experience and is an expert in laparoscopic urology, endoscopic stone surgery including RIRS and andrology. He has the wide range of expertise in open and minimally invasive procedures. Dr. Shakir is well trained in laparoscopic donor nephrectomy surgical techniques making him a very accomplished surgical urologist and transplant surgeon. He has performed over 200 buccal mucosal urethroplasty procedures, more than 400 lasers enabled vaporization of the prostate (Laser TURP) surgeries and more than 500 laser fragmentation of renal and ureteric calculi (PCNL, URS, and RIRS) procedures. After his initial graduation, Dr. Shakir completed his MS in General Surgery from the Sri Ramachandra University in Chennai and later shifted his attention towards urology and transplant surgeries by obtaining his MCh in Urology and Diploma is minimal access surgery.

I suffered from severe pain in the left lower abdomen with intense pain radiating to the back. I consulted Dr. Shakir who after a preliminary examination diagnosed it as a stone either in the kidney or ureter. I was advised to undergo a CT scan which confirmed his diagnosis. Dr.Shakir is very articulate , patient, and a wonderful Doctor to interact with.
