Dr. Shailaja Karthick Prasad

Dr. Shailaja K Prasad is a very experienced dentist who has worked internationally. She excelled academically receiving her dental degree from Nagpur University in 1999 following which she gained clinical experience in Mumbai and Bangalore before heading to the UK.In London she worked and received training in the Department of Oral and Maxillofacial surgery at Guy’s Hospital, King’s College Hospital and Queen Mary’s Hospital all affiliated to the National Health Services in England. She was awarded the MFDS RCS (Eng) (Membership of the Faculty of Dental surgery, The Royal College of Surgeons of England) in 2005.Dr.Prasad has successfully completed the 300-hour MaxiCourse® of the AAID (American Academy of Implant Dentistry) and is a member of good standing of the aforementioned academy. She has undertaken specialist training in treating patients with temporomandibular pain and in treating patients with a worn dentition needing rehabilitation, from the Dawson Academy, USA. She is proficient in taking care of the medically compromised patient, the paediatric patient, procedures involving cosmetic dentistry, dental implants, endodontics, crown and bridge and oral surgery including wisdom tooth removal, minor oral surgical procedures, and full mouth rehabilitation.She personally believes in tooth conservation and therefore practices minimally invasive dentistry with a strong focus on a hygienic and ethical dental practice.
