Dr. Sandip Deshpande

Dr. Sandip Deshpande MBBS, MD, DPM, MRCPsych, CCT (UK), PGDip (Sexual & Relationship Psychotherapy) Dr. Deshpande is a Consultant Psychiatrist, Sexual & Relationship Therapist. He has done his post-graduation in Psychiatry (MD) at KMC Manipal and was awarded the gold medal for the best outgoing resident. Following a one-year research post at NIMHANS, Bangalore, he worked in the UK for over 8 years. He has also been awarded the student of the year award by the British Association of Sexual & Relationship Therapists (BSART) in 2010. Having completed his training in Psychiatry & Sexual Medicine in the UK, he worked as a consultant psychiatrist in the National Health Service, UK (at Leeds) within the department of Liaison Psychiatry. He has led the department of Psycho-Sexual medicine service in the capacity of a consultant. His special interest is in treating individuals and couples who have problems with their sexual health and functioning. Dr. Deshpande has authored articles for books and peer-reviewed journals. He is also keen in teaching students & allied health professionals. Dr. Deshpande believes in a holistic approach to treating any psychological distress using counseling and psychotherapeutic approaches in addition to using medication where necessary.
