Dr. Rekha A R

I have been to Dr Rekha two times, for two different issues, and she is one of the best doctors I have ever come across. She spends adequate time doing the diagnosis before start writing or typing prescription. She also spends time explaining to the patient, which is a rarity in India unfortunately. I have the habit of understanding my medical condition in depth and hence I ask a lot of follow up questions. But she answered all of them patiently till I was completely satisfied. The icing on the cake is that she uses a software to write prescriptions and gives a printed prescription. This will save you the ordeal of decrypting what the doctor wrote when you visit the pharmacy. She also proactively explains what the medicine is for (pain killer/ antibiotic etc) while telling the dosage information, another rarity in India. All in all a very good experience.

Tip- waiting time can be high because she spends almost 15 mins per patient. try n get an appointment by calling their centre before hand to avoid waiting.

The doctor listened to the problem with patience. Further she tried to explain why this might be happening (she confirmed my doubts about me being allergic) and then suggested the medicines that'd suit me. Plus she suggested if it ever gets too difficult with the occasional symtomatic that I liked I can always get the treatment for the allergy.

I have visited Dr Rekha at the clinic in HSR Layout in the past and after visiting around 3-4 doctors for the same recurring problem in a span of 6 months, she was the first one to get it right.

I took my 60-year old father-in-law for checkup to Dr. Rekha A R. We could sense his reduced hearing. He had recently taken a flight from Mumbai to Bangalore, which seems to have compounded the problem. Dr. Rekha patiently listened to the problem, then started with her diagnosis by peering into his ears using her implements. She identified that there was wax deposit in his ear. Also, because he had been using ear buds, the wax had got pushed further into his ear canal. She cleaned out the ear, which restored the hearing to a great extent. Then she asked him to put drops in his ear, and visit next day to clean out the rest of the wax deposit. She cleaned it out on next visit. My father's hearing was restored to previous levels.

She is a patient listener, courteous, and considerate. For the two visits, total charges were just 300+100.

There is a small cozy clinic in the vicinity of hsr layout, and there you can find a genius sitting inside that small glass cabin. **** ***** ** ** ******** ****** **** ** ***** ** *** ******** I went there with no hope as i have tried a lot of doctors(big names) in delhi and bangalore with no help in my treatment. The problem was still not diagnosed properly. But to my surprise she got the issue in the first visit itself and explained it to me properly and told me what can be done.

I am still on the medication, not completely healed yet but getting better and atleast now i know in which direction i am going.

She was very patient in listening to all what i wanted to say.

On my third visit, she said "i don't really know why this problem is still there. May be vitamin D will heal the infection. " I would probably not recommend Dr. Rekha ** *** *** ***** ******* * ******* ***************** ** if you want to discuss your problem in detail with her.

These days it's becoming harder to trust doctors but Dr. Rekha is an exception. Even though the waiting time is slightly high, I really appreciate the fact that she spends time listening and talking to the patients. In most cases, the reassurance this brings itself is the cure.

Even with the medicines that she prescribes, she's not the one who is quick to push expensive antibiotics or a tonics, which is becoming a norm in Bangalore these days.

I am really happy with her consultation and treatment and I highly recommend her.

Firstly I would like to emphasize that I am very particular about my doctors and have a specific list for my concerns. For ENT I used to go to Dr. Rudrappa ** ** ** *** **** ** ********** But today was an exception as his clinic is too far for me and I was in excruciating pain. I went and met Dr. Rekha. The experience was excellent. She is really good at handling the patient. Listen to you carefully and patiently. The medication and treatment too is exceptional. I am going to add her to my specific list and thank Practo for introducing me to such a capable doctor. By default go to her and I ensure that your concern will be resolved.

She is really good and very friendly nature.. My son is 4yr old and he is not allowing us to clean the wax, so we consulted one doctor in HSR layout, but he said finally if the kid is not allowing to clean anesthesia need to be given. We consult Dr. Rekha for second opinion and it was really helpful.. Since my son didn't allow her to check ear..she didn't take the fee also.. And she suggested no need to worry for wax especially for kids as it will not become solid when compare to elders...keep putting drops for some more days n it will come out... I feel relax after no anesthesia required to clean it..

I am living in Bangalore for about 2 years and so far my experience with doctors were highly disappointed but after meeting doctor Rekha this perception completely changed, she didnt even charge a penny for checking our ears for any issue. I highly recommended her for any ENT issue.

The doctor understood the nature of my query and the history of the condition. She asked me to perform multiple simple manouvers to understand the issue. Was very friendly and showed a lot of patience. Did not prescribe any medicine. Just a few simple exercises and a simple nasal spray was recommended by her.
