Thanks to Dr. Rajashekher, because whom my mother (Yallamma) is leading a normal life now. My mother underwent 4 joint replacement surgeries (2 hip and 2 knees) due to RA from last 2 decades. One more surgery due to bone fracture. All these 5 surgeries are done by DR. Rajashekher and all are very successful. Before the surgeries she was almost bedridden,. but after all the join replacement surgeries, she is leading a normal life.

Recently I had the privilege of witnessing the treatment of my father-in-law by Dr. Rajashekhar K. The surgery itself was remarkably smooth, and thanks to his meticulous surgical technique and expertise with robotic surgery, the patient experienced minimal post-operative discomfort, almost nothing, and was able to start mobilizing with physiotherapy sooner than expected. My experience with Dr. Rajashekhar KT (Orthopaedic Surgeon) and his team of doctorsat Apollo Hospital, Bannerghatta, Bangalore for my revision knee replacement (right knee) has been exceptional and heart warming.I had my Total Knee Replacement (both the knees) in 2017. The surgery was successful but I had complications during post-op surgery care which required another procedure to insert plates and rods which were later removed due to spread of swelling and infection. The swelling and pain over time became worse and made the mobility of my right leg very difficult. I wanted to know  the next course of action as there was a lack of clarity on what can be done to fix my right leg and gain my mobility. I wanted to consult a surgeon here in Bengaluru who could guide me on the right set of next steps and answer my concerns and queries. After quite a bit of research and discussions with family, I met Dr. Rajashekhar K T at Apollo Hospital. My first meeting with him convinced me that I am in good hands. This is an opinion on my experience with the treatment of Dr. K T Rajashekar, Orthopedic Surgeon in Apollo Hospital Bannergatta, Bangalore.

I had taken my aunt who was experiencing acute pain in both the knees. On the suggestion of the doctor, we got Full Knee Replacement done through Dr. K T Rajashekar.

I would like to express my profound gratitude for Dr. K T Rajashekar and his team of doctors including the doctors of other related areas (Physicians, Anesthetists, Physiotherapists) and the nursing including support and logistics team for their excellent treatment / services.

Dr. Rajashekar is very kind and patiently answered to all our queries, explained the process and requirements very clearly. He made us very comfortable and then he conducted the knee operations for both the legs in a gap of 3 days. The operation was very successful and my aunt did not undergo severe pain during recovery as normally complained by others.

One month since the operation, she is now able to walk normally and able to climb the steps. She did not experience any severe pain post operation and now is almost normal.

The coordination among his team and also doctors of other related areas is of very high standard and a simple message to anyone of them would be attended with all seriousness by the entire team. On staying with my aunt in the hospital for this operation until discharge, I could see all the doctors very treating very nicely by giving all the required comfort level to the patient. His Physician Assistant Ms Rekha is worth mentioning on a special basis, as she used to visit my aunt at regular intervals and see that all the requirements are attended to. The Anesthesia Specialist (Dr. Srinivas Holla) and the Physiotherapists (specially to Dr. Anandu) attended my aunt very well with all the due care.

Dr. Rajashekar can be said to have magic in hands as I could see a perfectly done operation.

I profoundly thank Dr. Rajashekar and his team of doctors and the nursing team for a very good treatment extended to my aunt.

I had been suffering pain in both my knees for nearly a decade. Let alone walk, even standing for a few seconds was excruciatingly difficult. The fear of pain and the lack of clarity on the recovery after surgery made me postpone taking any action for relief till now. Also, I did not know how to decide on the surgeon whom I could trust and be rest assured that I would be able to walk again without pain.

After a lot of research and asking around, I met Dr. Rajasekhar K T at Fortis, BG Road. That single meeting was enough for me to be convinced that I am in good hands. X-rays and other diagnosis had revealed that though both my knees required surgery, the damage in the left one was quite intense.

I went ahead with the the joint replacement surgery of both my knees with a gap of 4 days between the two. Apparently, the surgery in the left knee was a very difficult one, as was described by several doctors present during the surgery. However, on both the days of the surgeries, I could walk a few steps on the day itself. I was in the hospital for a total of 9 days. Although there was post-operative pain and discomfort, I was very well taken care of.

It has been over a month now. My stitches came off after 15 days of the surgeries. I am continuing with physiotherapy and diet control and I am experiencing a noticeable difference in my mobility. Even after I was back home, any time I had a query or a concern, Dr Rajashekhar was always there, just a whatsapp message away.This was a huge support as any new development would make me worried. He would reassure me and prescribe medicines if any was required.

If you are suffering because of damaged knees, I highly recommend that you must consult an orthopedic surgeon immediately and if you are in Bangalore, based on my experience I can say quite definitively that you need not look anywhere beyond Dr. Rajashekhar K T.

I am sharing the feedback on behalf of my father, Asoke Goswami, his age is 69 years. My father has been suffering from knee pain for the last 12 years. Though we have taken consultation from an Orthopedic surgeon 12 years back and knee replacement operation has been proposed because of Osteoarthritis. My father was not ready for a knee replacement operation till Feb’22. His conception was that he may not walk properly after his operation because of his old age. He was using painkillers medicine very frequently without informing us. On Feb '22, his pain was intolerable and the painkiller medicine was not working as per expectation. That’s why we decided on the operation.

We are extremely fortunate that we are able to manage an appointment with Dr. Rajashekhar K T who is a specialist in Knee Replacement Surgery at Bannerghatta Road, Bangalore Fortis Hospital. The doctor operated on my father’s both legs with a single hospitalization duration of 8 days, though my father is having complications like Blood Sugar, High Blood Pressure, Kidney & Prostate Issue. I am literally happy to see my father that within 45 days after the operation, my father is walking 2 KM/DAY without any support. He did not feel any pain. The medicine stooped almost 15 days back. I can say we got the best treatment in Bangalore from a world-class doctor with a class -1 hospital within my budget with a limited timeline.

We are thankful to the doctor Rajashekhar K T that he has given a new life to my father in his 69 years of age where my father can walk properly without any support without any pain.

My mother recently underwent revision total knee replacement surgery for the left knee at Apollo Hospital Bannerghatta Road, am writing this after 15 days of her surgery, am so glad for my mother's progress with in a week after the discharge, she is walking comfortably with less pain and slowly started her day to day activities by herself, now she is confident and feeling more comfortable, we are extremely happy from the initial consultation to post-operative care, the entire experience was exceptional. The surgery itself went smoothly, and she was up and walking (with assistance) the next day itself with out any pain.
