He is well trained orthopedic spine surgeon with focus on degenerative spinal disorders (eg disc prolapse) especially of the low back and spinal deformities (Scoliosis, Kyphosis, Spondylolisthesis). He has had over a year’s experience as a Fellow of the Spinal Cord Society (Indian Chapter) and research associate in spinal surgery at Indian Spinal Injuries Centre, New Delhi which is one of India’s advanced centers for medical care and rehabilitation of patients with spinal ailments.He was a spinal surgery fellow for a year at the prestigious ‘Centre d'Etude Et De Traitement Des Affections Du Rachis’ at Institut Calot in Berck, France where he was awarded Attestation de Formation Spécialisée Approfondie (AFSA) from the University of Lille 2, France. The training covered all aspects of spine surgery, the majority of them being in pediatric and adult deformity. He was a Depuy Spine International Spine fellow at the spine surgery service at the General Infirmary at Leeds, UK, between November and December 2007. He was also a Visiting Spine Fellow at SRH Klinikum Karlsbad Langensteinbach, Germany during August 2007 and at the Hachinohe Municipal Hospital, Hachinohe, Japan during April 2012.He is a life member of various associations such as Indian Orthopedic Association, Association of Spine Surgeons of India, Spinal Cord Society, India and Member – AO Spine Asia Pacific.He has been invited as faculty to various scientific meetings and his presentations have won awards at the international level too.
